We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sanela Ebbeskov Jankovic. Check out our conversation below.
Sanela, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
The most surprising thing we’ve learned about our customers is that, while they absolutely care about beautiful imagery, what they value even more is how easy and reliable the entire experience is. When we first started iUSE Photography, we assumed that clients would primarily choose us for our artistic style, composition, and creative edge. But over time, we discovered that what truly earns their long-term loyalty is consistency, dependability, and simplicity.
Most of our clients are real estate agents managing extremely fast-paced schedules, they’re constantly on the move, balancing listings, showings, and negotiations. For them, time is the most valuable asset. What they appreciate most is not having to worry about the details, knowing that we’ll show up on time, deliver professional results, and have everything ready when promised. The fewer steps they have to take, the happier they are.
That realization completely shaped the way we built our company and our technology. We streamlined every touchpoint from online booking and scheduling to delivery and invoicing, so real estate agents can manage their shoots effortlessly, even from their phones. We also standardized quality control and editing processes to make sure every photo, video, or 3D tour meets the same high standard, no matter who the photographer is or where the property is located. iUSE photography got you covered in South East Florida, New York, Chicago and Atlanta.
In short, the most surprising lesson was that our business isn’t just about photography, it’s about trust and time. Our clients rely on us to make their work easier and their listings stand out, and when we deliver that level of reliability, it turns what started as a simple photo order into a long-term partnership.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sanela Ebbeskov Jankovic, and I’m the co-founder of iUSE Photography and iUSE Platform, two sister companies built around one mission: to make real estate media effortless, professional, and technology-driven. With my background and foundation in engineering, I focus on building innovative IT solutions that merge technology and marketing strategy to provide clients with an effortless, high-quality experience.
I started iUSE Photography with my husband, Morten, after years of working closely with real estate professionals and realizing how complicated and inconsistent the photography process often was. Agents were juggling multiple vendors, unclear pricing, inconsistent quality, and long turnaround times, all while trying to market properties quickly in an increasingly competitive space. We wanted to fix that by creating a company that combined premium quality with complete simplicity.
Today, iUSE Photography is a trusted media partner to some of the most prestigious brokerages in the industry, including ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, Keller Williams, Compass, and Coldwell Banker. We’ve captured billions in real estate listings across Florida, Chicago, New York, and the Caribbean, and most recently, we signed a new vendor contract with a large brokerage, expanding our footprint even further.
What makes our brand unique is not just the quality of our photos, videos, and drone work, it’s the technology and structure behind it. Our custom-built iUSE Platform www.iUSEplatform.com is a white-label software property tech solution we custom-developed to streamline the entire photography workflow, from booking to delivery. It’s designed not just for our team, but also to empower other photography companies around the world to operate under their own brand while using our proven system.
In essence, our story is about transforming a hands-on creative service into a scalable, tech-enabled business model, one that helps agents sell homes faster, photographers work smarter, and companies grow globally. We’re now focused on expanding the reach of our platform and partnering with other real estate media companies who want to bring the same level of professionalism and efficiency to their markets.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I realized that I could create something from nothing and that ideas, when combined with persistence, could actually turn into something real.
I was still quite young when I started organizing small projects on my own whether it was building something, selling an idea, or finding creative ways to solve problems. That feeling of taking initiative and seeing results was incredibly empowering. It made me realize that power doesn’t come from titles or authority, but from the ability to take action and make things happen.
Later in life, that same mindset guided me in business. When we built iUSE Photography from the ground up with no investors, no roadmap, and no guarantees, I felt that same spark again. Turning a small idea into a thriving company that now serves major real estate brands and employs an incredible team reminded me of that early moment: that real power lies in creation, courage, and believing in your own vision.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: trust yourself more, you’re doing better than you think.
There were times when I doubted whether I was on the right path, or if things would work out the way I hoped. I would tell my younger self to relax a little, to stop overanalyzing every step, and to enjoy the journey more. Every challenge, every uncertainty, and even every setback was leading somewhere meaningful, even when it didn’t feel like it at the time.
I would remind her that resilience, creativity, and kindness are strengths, not vulnerabilities, and that building something from scratch, whether it’s a business or a life, takes courage and patience. Most importantly, I’d tell her that everything she dreams of achieving is possible, and that she’s far more capable than she realizes.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire people who lead with integrity, empathy, and quiet strength, those who don’t seek recognition, but simply do what’s right because it matters to them. One person who comes to mind is my husband and business partner, Morten. He has an incredible sense of calm, perspective, and fairness, qualities that have grounded both our family and our business.
What I admire most about him, and about people like that in general, is their ability to remain kind and composed even under pressure. True character isn’t about having control over others; it’s about having control over yourself, your reactions, your words, and your values.
In business, I’ve also met people who quietly build and support others without needing to be in the spotlight. Those are the people who inspire me most, the ones who lead through consistency, compassion, and example rather than power or position.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I made things simpler, better, and more meaningful for others, that I used creativity and determination to build something that genuinely helped people. Whether it was through our photography company, our software platform, or just everyday interactions, I’d like to be remembered as someone who combined vision with kindness, and business with heart.
I hope they’ll say that I wasn’t afraid to dream big or to take risks, that I built things that lasted, created opportunities for others, and always led with integrity. And beyond work, I hope people remember me as someone who valued family, relationships, and the small joys in life just as much as success.
Ultimately, I’d love the story to be that I left something behind that continues to grow, not just a business, but a mindset: that with passion, innovation, and perseverance, you can create your own path and make a difference along the way and always being kind to other people.
