safiya francis of south florida on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with safiya francis and have shared our conversation below.

Hi safiya, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes I set aside for God and it truly sets the tone for everything else for me. As soon as I open my eyes, I give thanks and praise to God for waking me up and granting me and my family another day of life.

This moment isn’t rushed for me —I make it my business as day breaks to pause to acknowledge His goodness before engaging with the world. I dive straight into my daily scriptures, letting the Word wash over me and cover me in Christ.

These scriptures serve as my spiritual armor and foundation, preparing me to face the day rooted in God’s truth. I intentionally keep this time set apartevery day for years now —before speaking to anyone, answering messages, or beginning daily responsibilities.

MY priority is communion with God, making sure MY spirit is aligned with Him before engaging with the world.

By the time my first 90 minutes are over, I am not only awake physically—I am spiritually awake, strengthened, and guided. GOD IS GREATNESS

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is “Safiya” Francis — I’m a disciple of Christ, a mother, wife, life coach, prayer warrior, and a passionate BUSINESS entrepreneur with a vision to merge faith, fashion, and beauty into experiences that uplift and inspire.

I am the founder of SafiyaShoetique.com
A ECLECTIC fashion boutique offering men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and even Mobile concierge personal and travel styling. Safiya Shoetique is more than just a boutique store — it’s about helping people express confidence through fashion while making style accessible worldwide with both local delivery and international shipping.

we launched our sister site AUGUST 2025 FiyaTribeCosmetic.com
a luxury VEGAN beauty brand that celebrates boldness, elegance, and self-love through high-quality products like lip oils, glosses, palettes, and liners. Each product is designed to enhance natural beauty while giving women the confidence to shine inside and out.

What makes my journey unique is that both brands are deeply connected to my personal story and my community work. From hosting women’s empowerment events, charity drives like Gift the Homeless, to creating spaces like the WWC Women’s club Group that I am the founder and visionary of since 2017 , I’ve built my businesses around more than profit — they’re about purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work was my mother, Jean — God rest her soul. She was a woman of strength, class, and deep faith. My mother was God-centered in everything she did, and she carried herself with elegance while remaining firm, disciplined, and hardworking.

Watching her balance grace with resilience shaped how I approach my own journey as a businesswoman and a woman of faith. Her example instilled in me the importance of integrity, perseverance, and working with both excellence and purpose. To this day, I carry her lessons with me in every area of my life, from how I run my businesses to how I serve my community.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: “Stay God-focused, no matter what. Don’t let the world distract you — keep God first in everything you do and pray without ceasing. Don’t get caught up in people’s words; instead, watch their actions. Trust that God’s plan for you is greater than anything or anyone can promise.”

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes and no. Many people know me as the face of SafiyaShoetique.com — the fashion girl with eclectic style, the glitz, the glam, and the bold confidence. That is absolutely a part of me, but it’s not the whole story.

I’m also the woman who loves her church home, Gateway Church, and finds joy in worship and prayer. I cherish family time with my children and husband, and I love those quiet, powerful moments of praying with my friends. At my core, I’m a fun-loving God girl who makes mistakes like anyone else, but I don’t hesitate to repent and ask for forgiveness.

The truth is, most people only see the fashion and business side of me, but there’s also a deeply spiritual, loving, Christ-centered side that grounds everything I do.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people tell about me when I’m gone is that I had an undeniable love for Christ and never hesitated to share His goodness and His Word daily. I hope they say I lived with transparency, that I deeply loved my family, and that giving back to my community was at the heart of who I was. I want to be remembered as a woman whose love for both fashion and faith shined through in everything she did — leaving behind a legacy of style, service, and spirit.
