We recently had the chance to connect with Ron Weizman and have shared our conversation below.
Ron, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Every Tuesday night, you’ll find me on the pickleball court, starting with laughs and ending with fierce rallies, breaking more than a sweat and loving every intense minute.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Ron Weizman, co-founder of South Beach Bubbles. I’ve always believed the best moments happen when people put down their phones and just play. What started with our WOWmazing® Giant Bubbles has grown into a line of toys that keep pushing the boundaries of outdoor fun, including our PoppinColorz® Hydra 2-in-1 Bubble and Water Blaster, which recently won Toy of the Year in the Outdoor category from The Toy Association. For me, it’s all about creating those moments of pure joy that bring people together.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Without a doubt, my father. He was a businessman, and growing up I saw firsthand how hard he worked, how dedicated he was to doing things right, and how he treated people with respect. Watching his work ethic and integrity in action left a huge impression on me and has shaped the way I approach my own career
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Relax, you don’t need to have it all figured out. Keep working hard, stay curious, and enjoy the ride—it’s going to turn out better than you think.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, what you see is what you get. I’m the same person whether I’m at work, on the pickleball court, or hanging out with friends. I try to be authentic in every setting because it’s just easier to show up as yourself.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
My happiest moments are when I’m outdoors, surrounded by people I love, fully present and lost in the moment.
