Today we’d like to introduce you to SHILOH SPEIGHTS.
Hi SHILOH, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Coming from a line of heartbreak and heartache—due to hard days and hard ways.
Music first clicked for me through writing—it was how I first put life into words. When I began making beats, it pulled me deeper and brought writing back full circle. For a time, I thought I might stay behind the scenes as just a producer, but I realized my voice belonged too.
There wasn’t one single turning point; greatness has been in my sight since childhood. Music isn’t my only interest. It’s a conduit—through music I can build the foundation, the resources, and the reach to step into other ventures when the time is right.
What I create is real. I’m not selling a fantasy—I’m a human being who loves and loses, who has ups and downs, twists and turns, while carrying adult responsibilities like anyone else. I use that as energy.
What keeps me grounded is God, family, and the relationships I hold close. Along with that, I hold honor—the values I stand on and won’t compromise. That’s the ground I walk on.
Looking forward, my vision is for the music to be useful. If it inspires someone to reach higher, helps them to keep going, or adds something meaningful to their world, then I’ve done my part.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been patience—trusting the process even when results aren’t immediate. There are moments where you question whether the effort you’re putting in will connect, or if the doors you’re knocking on will ever open.
Resources have also been a hurdle at times. Like many independent artists, I’ve had to figure out how to build from scratch, stretching what I had and learning to do a lot myself. That forced me to wear many hats—writer, producer, engineer, etc—but it also sharpened me.
On top of that, life doesn’t pause. I’ve had to balance adult responsibilities, losses, and personal trials while still showing up for the vision.
Through it all, my foundation has carried me—God, family, and the values I walk with. I’ve learned that obstacles aren’t there to stop me; they’re there to shape me. The struggles become part of the story, and the story becomes part of the history.
Forever.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an entrepreneur and businessman, who happens to also be an artist. Music is a passion, but it’s also part of a bigger picture.
What I’m most proud of is what I’m building. Every move is intentional, because I know I’m not just creating for today. I’m setting up something that can stand the test of time, and music is both the message and the vehicle for that.
If I had to point to one track that’s closest to me, I’d say “Be a Better Man”. It’s personal, reflective, and embodies the kind of growth and honesty I aim to carry in my work. At the same time, all my songs represent me—each one is another brick.
What sets me apart is simple: I am who I am, and I’ve been that long before being labeled an “artist”.
I’m not keeping up—I’m upkeeping.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just numbers or recognition. Success is alignment. It’s living in a way that matches my values and the honor I hold.
I define success as usefulness.
