Hi Santiago, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Santiago Marino, founder and senior producer at Miami Fit Photos. I began my production career in Miami in 2008 and made the leap to New York City in 2016, where I gained invaluable experience working on over 200 film sets, both in front of and behind the camera.
I’ve had the honor of collaborating with exceptional talents like Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, and Keanu Reeves, among many others. While in NYC, I also worked in TV and Radio spots for Pizza Hut, JCPenney, Lexus, Heluva Good.
Since returning to Miami in 2020, I’ve focused my production expertise into Miami Fit Photos, a project that has deepened my connection with the vibrant community in Miami Beach. In addition to fitness photography, our team specializes in fashion, swimwear , and lifestyle photography. We also take professional headshots for actors, realtors, and anyone looking to elevate their personal brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey as a photographer in Miami has been smooth because I’ve truly loved every moment of it.
Waking up at 4 a.m. to head to set? Love it. Staying up all night editing content? Love it. Getting my knees and body covered in sand and water during beach photoshoots? Love it.
Showcasing the beauty of amazing people and inspiring the world to embrace self-care and well-being? Love it.
Although we’ve faced some obstacles along the way, we see these moments as opportunities for growth and a chance to adapt as we move forward. This is especially true with unexpected events and weather during photoshoots—we embrace these challenges and transform them into creative opportunities.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I believe the rise of AI will enhance the value of authentic, organic photography. As technology advances, the demand for genuine, human-centric images will grow, making skilled photographers even more essential in capturing real moments and emotions.
