Rising Stars: Meet Sandy Vilce of Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandy Vilce.

Hi Sandy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Sandy, and I’m the blogger and content writer behind the website “The Everyday Bloom”.

Before starting The Everyday Bloom, I had launched a previous website shortly after graduating college. At the time, I was in a season of uncertainty, wondering what direction to take next and praying that God would open the right door for me. I did not have a job lined up after graduation and found myself in that post grad phase of researching opportunities and applying for different roles.

Through researching and praying, I came across blogging, which felt like an interesting form of content creation. During early 2022, video based content creation was becoming incredibly popular, with creators rapidly growing across platforms. Blogging, on the other hand, leaned more heavily into writing, which stood out to me.

Some of the things that drew me to it, were the flexibility of time and location, since most of the work could be done from my computer. I was also motivated by a gap I noticed in Google search results. I saw a need for a space where young Millennial and Gen Z women could find inspiration for party ideas and fun ways to celebrate everyday moments.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my first blog came with a huge learning curve because not only are you setting up a website; but you also have to learn about search engine optimization (SEO) and how to write articles that people are actively searching for on Google. That means creating content that answers readers’ questions and gives them helpful ideas.

Unlike platforms like Instagram or YouTube, where users are already spending time on the platform, blogging is different because you have to market your website and attract readers on your own since you don’t have an existing audience. That was another challenge I faced when trying to drive traffic and bring users to my website.

Another obstacle when I first started, was that I found writing extremely difficult. I spent a lot of time editing, rewriting, and rewriting some more. But through consistent practice, I became much more comfortable with writing and started incorporating more of my personal experiences into my content.

By late 2025, I decided to scrap my old website and start fresh. That decision led to the creation of my new and refreshed website, TheEverydayBloom.com

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Within the past few years, we’ve seen the exponential rise of short form media and AI tools. As a result, many people are now turning to these platforms first when seeking information or entertainment.

These tools are incredibly useful because they can quickly and concisely give users the answers they are looking for. Looking ahead to the next 5 to 10 years, I believe AI will continue making information even more accessible by providing faster answers to the questions people search for on Google.

Because of this, one thing I greatly prioritize in my writing is providing firsthand experience and personal insight. That is one of the key things that helps differentiate artificial intelligence from real human interaction. At the end of the day, I believe humans will always crave genuine human connection, personal stories, and authentic experiences.
