Rising Stars: Meet Sabrina MacLean of north miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina MacLean.

Hi Sabrina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We had our office for a very long time in Midtown and the Design District. Couple of weeks ago we move to North Miami. We are one block from the MOCA museum and the best vintage and midcentury furniture. The beauty of being in the NoMi District lies in its blend of authenticity, creativity, and growth. North Miami is emerging as one of the city’s most dynamic areas — a true cultural crossroads with a rich mix of art, design, and community energy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We had a very smooth transition to the area. Our neighbors are the best and they have been super welcoming.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re a second generation of interior designers, continuing a legacy built on a deep understanding of proportion, curation, and timeless design. Our practice brings together decades of experience with a fresh, contemporary perspective — rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Our work is known for its serene and grounded aesthetic — contemporary spaces with an earthy, tactile palette that evoke calm and balance. Art and curation play a defining role in everything we do, ensuring each project feels cohesive, personal, and complete.

What we’re most proud of is the way we’ve evolved the practice — blending generational knowledge with a modern sensibility. We design spaces that endure, that reflect both artistry and intention, and that tell a story through every detail. What sets us apart is our ability to combine intuition and precision — a dialogue between past and present that defines our design identity.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
“I’ve always believed more in destiny than luck. Life gives you signs when you’re on the right path, but you have to be attuned enough to notice them. For me, intuition is everything — your gut will always tell you what’s right if you learn to listen.”
