Rising Stars: Meet Roberto Alvarez-Galloso of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Alvarez-Galloso.

Hi Roberto, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been involved with my blog Noticiero RCAG [Spanish] [previously El Noticiero Alvarez-Galloso] since 2006 while the English Version [Americana Bistro Grill and the present AG News Show] existed since 2014. In 2014, the Americana Bistro Grill was founded while 2019 was the year that the AG News Show came to be.

Both versions have evolved over time with Noticiero RCAG becoming a blog where Spanish Language sports and artists are present with the publicity they deserve. The Americana Bistro Grill [dedicated to Americana Music] was established in 2014 as a show in AMI Radio [Anna Maria Island Florida Radio Station] as a suggestion from its then Presidents Robert Herman and Casey Hoffman.

The Americana Bistro Grill continued with AMI Radio until Robert Herman left the scene and the station folded in 2017. At this time, The Americana Bistro Grill was incorporated into the AG News Show [Multiple genres in music] as a separate entity until 2026 when the former was absorbed by the latter.

During this time, the AG News Show has grown with more artists being interviewed for an audience that has been clamoring for decades of authenticity in arts as well as music. The same has applied to its audience in the world.

El Noticiero RCAG was founded as El Noticiero Alvarez-Galloso in 2006 in Miami Florida as a vehicle for the Spanish Speaking audiences around the world looking for an alternative to Mainstream Media. In the beginning, it covered music [secular], politics [Independent] and Sports [Soccer].

In 2011, El Noticiero RCAG started reporting about Christian Artists and their music via interviews in fairs such as Expolit, AGLOCAL, and concerts. At the same time, it reported Soccer events including the last six World Cups including the 2026 event.

Growth is not possible if it were not for the Grand Architect of the Universe and people who visit, read, subscribe and share. At the same time, it has helped that our News Show treated the artist and the subject matter with the dignity it deserves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success is not easy as it is paved with obstacles that are in the way. There has been people from different walks of life that have attempted to block El Noticiero RCAG and The AG News Show.

The examples have been attempts to remove us from the circulation with discouraging words, censorship or last minute cancellations as well as false accusations. This has always been the norm from those who do not want competition especially when our blog as well as videos are growing.

During the COVID Pandemic in 2020, many blogs and You Tube channels either lost their audience or folded because the material presented was not relevant during that time period. In the sports arena [during COVID], the Noticiero RCAG and The AG News Show were able to cover some indoor sports from other parts of the country and world]

El Noticiero RCAG and The AG News Show was able to help artists during the COVID Period by hosting a Friday evening program which was a success. El Noticiero RCAG hosted “Viernes Social Con Alvarez-Galloso’ every Friday from 5:00 to 8:30PM EST in which many artists were interviewed about their music and career.

The AG News Show interviewed artists in English about their music and career every Friday from 8:30PM to 12:00 Midnight. These programs continued until 2023 when normal programming resumed but we were able to survive and we saved the musical careers of many artists.

Since the COVID Pandemic, the biggest obstacle has been competing against younger You Tube Channels but we have survived.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
El Noticiero RCAG and The AG News Show are programs within You Tube and other social media that reports on sports and artists. The objective is to promote the sports and art that is not normally covered on social media and to debunk the cliche that USA is only New York and California.

In other words, we give voice and publcity to those who need it since they are ignored by mainstream media. We cover football [soccer] in a way others do not and we interview artists who deserve publicity but barely receive it.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
To achieve success, one should do unto others as one would like to be done unto them. We love to educate and talk with our subscribers not at them.

We interview our artists and sports experts with professionalism in mind and to make them feel appreciated for their work.
