Hi Remie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My photography journey began in 2009 when I first discovered my passion for capturing moments through the lens. It all started with taking photos for the Student Government, and little did I know that this initial interest would eventually transform into a full-fledged career.
Fast forward to today, and I find myself specializing as a wedding photographer, where my dedication lies in immortalizing the enchantment and splendor of couples’ special days. With years of industry experience, I’ve meticulously refined my skills, enabling me to expertly seize candid and intimate moments that authentically convey the love and joy of the occasion.
I approach each wedding with a distinct and imaginative outlook, aiming to construct a visual narrative that narrates the tale of the day. My work spans from capturing intricate details like the wedding dress and decor to those emotionally charged moments shared between the couple and their closest friends and family. Throughout, I maintain a keen eye for composition and lighting to ensure the quality of every shot.
In terms of style, I lean towards a natural and timeless aesthetic, with a core focus on encapsulating the genuine essence of each couple’s unique love story. A key aspect of my work is ensuring that my clients are at ease in front of the camera, fostering a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that contributes to the overall success of the shoot.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey in photography has been a fulfilling one, but like any career path, it hasn’t been entirely smooth. There were certainly challenges along the way. When I initially started as a photographer, transitioning from a hobby to a profession was demanding. It required a considerable amount of time and effort to build my skills and reputation in the field.
One of the key struggles I faced was establishing myself as a credible and reliable photographer. It took time to gain the trust of clients and to build a portfolio that showcased my abilities. Competition in the wedding photography industry can be fierce, and breaking through requires perseverance and dedication.
Furthermore, there were technical challenges to overcome. Mastering the intricacies of photography, including composition, lighting, and post-processing, demanded continuous learning and refinement of my craft.
Balancing the artistic aspects of photography with the business side was another obstacle. Learning to manage the administrative aspects, handle bookings, and interact effectively with clients while maintaining a creative and artistic vision was a learning curve.
Despite these challenges, my passion for photography and my dedication to honing my skills have led me to where I am today, and I continue to embrace each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and improvement.

What I’m most proud of in my work is the emotional connection that my photographs establish. Each image is a reflection of not just the visual elements of the day but also the deep, genuine feelings shared between the couple and their loved ones. Being able to evoke those emotions through my photography is something that brings me immense satisfaction.

What makes you happy?
Well, if you catch me outside of my wedding photography hustle, what makes me genuinely happy is laughter. I mean, it’s the best medicine, right? There’s just something magical about sharing a good laugh with friends or even with the couples I photograph.
The world can be a bit too serious at times, so bringing joy and laughter into people’s lives is a source of pure happiness for me. And hey, a good laugh can turn even the most stressful moments into unforgettable memories! So, in a nutshell, happiness, to me, is all about spreading smiles and laughter wherever I go.
