Today we’d like to introduce you to No Remorse Music. They and their team shared their story with us below:
In 2019 the founder of “No Remorse” JT Cinco started making music towards the end of his senior year of high school after the basketball season was over. JT would collaborate with N808ThePlug who at the time was known for working with North Carolina-based rapper Toosii. JT thought it would be ideal to work with such a great producer and invited N808 to his house to record some music to drop a mixtape in the summer.
JT’s living room turned into a studio for the next couple of months and more friends would join to watch the process and also be a part of it as well. After months of recording, his first single titled “What happened” would be released to the public in July of 2019 generating only a couple of streams in the first week but with the help of social media that would change with the next couple of months.
One thing led to another and three months later that same song would be trending behind basketball highlights all over Instagram and TikTok with over 2 million views. Once JT got the attention of millions he put together a music group called “No Remorse” which would feature close friends $en$ei, Nrg Stackz, Nrg Zay, Nrg Wavyy, N808ThePlug, MellowDrell, and C-live.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t always smooth sailing coming into the music business, we’ve had our obstacles like most people. One of the biggest challenges was having the confidence to even put out music.
In the early days, we would create some songs and feel very discouraged to put them out for the public to hear, probably because we feared what others had to say. But that’s how we came up with the name “No Remorse”, it’s our way of telling people to be confident in anything they create or do in life and don’t listen to the haters.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Being an artist from Broward you’re surrounded by so much talent, but what sets us apart is our cadence and flow. Most people would say we don’t sound like we are from Florida and that’s not a bad thing, we embrace showing how versatile Florida can be. We are so proud of how far we’ve come with the music!
In 2019 other members of the group would start releasing songs and projects. $en$ei would give fans a mixtape titled days in the far east and Nrg Stackz would begin working on his first project titled “No Brakes”.
In early July of 2020, JT would release a single titled “Can’t Stop” which would feature in a short film titled “Scadenza” produced by Brandon Cheddar and novelty films. The following year the group would put out their first EP titled “No Remorse Tape vol. 1”.
In 2022 widely known basketball corporations the “NBA” and “Overtime” used my songs 3 Peat and “Sliding” for their promotional campaigns during games. We have come a long way and still have more goals to complete!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The best advice we can give is to stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid to be different! That’s what we live by and it only makes sense in the entertainment industry. You have to keep your audience excited and the best way to do that is to give them something they haven’t seen before.
We also want to let any new artist watching us know that success takes time. Success does not happen overnight, you have to work hard every day to your goals because life has a funny way of rewarding you when you least expect it!
