Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Perez.
Hi Jason, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My father (Michael Perez)was an Artist and had many galleries in NY.
We moved to Miami and opened up a gallery in Wynwood “Gallery 212” During the last year of the 10-year lease right before Basel he had a stroke. I was with him and helped him as much as I could before we had to leave the unit.
With $500 to my name, I had to learn the business on my own.
After 5 years of nonstop work and dedication to taking over my father’s legacy, I now own my own art agency “Jason Perez Art” representing 40 artists, working with 8 galleries and Venues, and doing art events constantly throughout Miami.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
More bumps in the road than you could imagine, but nothing in life is easy.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Stay on your grind, work as hard as you can and never give up.
