Rising Stars: Meet Eboni Peek of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eboni Peek

Hi Eboni, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started back in 2015 with an interest in lifestyle blogging. I always had a niche for exhibiting things that incorporated lifestyle, such travel, food, fashion, but I could never bring myself to the level of faith to introduce my craft. Today’s social media approach has helped me be more creative and innovative, and it’s helped me to repurpose my platform and more invested in my brand.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life has had its ups and downs, but having unanimous faith in knowing that God provides has superseded anything I may have struggled against. I think my biggest challenge has always been consistency and wanting to remain in engaged in things I truly care about but at the same just learning to be more patient and trust in the process towards things I can’t control.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a micro influencer and makeup artist, I operate and promote a lifestyle blog called The Pynk Flamingo. It’s inspired by the flamingo bird and its vibrant and sociable personality and compromises with my own lifestyle. I create content incorporating interests through high quality pictures and videos of food, travel, fashion, and beauty/skincare. My makeup artistry company is called Face 2 Face Beauty MIA, and I specialize in natural, bridal, production, and special effects makeup. I’m most proud of being apart of a movie where I worked behind the scenes as an assistant makeup artist for Amazon Prime movie Secret Society 3. What sets me apart from others is staying true to my identity and my craft, my sustainability in the makeup industry for almost a decade, and my ability to simultaneously build relatable content around my lifestyle blogging brand and my makeup business and keeping them actively relevant.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Be proud of your progress and don’t be ashamed of your growth. The latest version of yourself doesn’t accept the things you used to, and that’s a great thing.
