Today we’d like to introduce you to Design Bodega.
Hi Design , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We are Design Bodega, an all-female art dream team brought together by a shared love of creativity, design, and getting our hands a little dirty. We originally met through work, long days, late nights, and plenty of laughs along the way, and over the years, we realized that our best projects always seemed to happen when we were together. So instead of continuing to pick up odd jobs as individuals, we decided to take a leap and unite under one name. Fast forward six months later, and Design Bodega was born.
What started as a simple idea has turned into a full design house! We do everything from concept to completion, we handle the creative direction, design development, fabrication, and installation. Every project we take on is a mix of art, design, and a little bit of magic that comes from working with people who genuinely love what they do.
Building this business has been such a fulfilling journey. There’s something incredibly special about creating alongside friends who inspire you every day. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since we first met and that time has flown by, but the growth, laughter, and creativity have made every moment worth it.
We’re so grateful for the opportunity to do what we love, to call this our job, and to share our art with the world. Running your own art business is no small feat, but doing it with a team you trust and adore? That’s the real dream.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
That said, the challenges are very real. We’ve had our fair share of slow seasons, when the work slows down and we have to lean on our other creative projects just to keep things moving. Building a brand from the ground up can be both exciting and terrifying. There’s no manual we are following for it, just a lot of passion, persistence, and faith in what you’re creating.
One of the biggest struggles as artists is balancing creative integrity with financial reality. It can be tempting to take on every project that comes your way, but we’ve learned how important it is to stay true to our values and only say yes to work that feels aligned with who we are. That’s not always the easy choice, but it’s the right one for us.
At the end of the day, the beauty of having our own company is that we get to choose . These are our projects, our people, and our path. Every challenge has made us stronger, more intentional, and more grateful for this journey we’re on together.

At Design Bodega, we’re a full-service art and design house specializing in everything from creative concept development to fabrication and installation. We handle the entire process, from the first sketch of an idea all the way to the final brushstroke on a wall. Our work blends fine art, design, and hands-on craftsmanship, which allows us to take on projects that are both visually stunning and deeply personal.
We’re known for our murals, custom lettering, branding, and large-scale installations. The kind of work that transforms a space and tells a story at the same time. Whether it’s a hand-painted sign, a full event environment, or a detailed brand design, we aim to create something that feels alive and connected to the people experiencing it.
What we’re most proud of is the fact that we built this together. We’re an all-female art dream team that grew from years of working side by side, supporting each other, and realizing that we wanted to create under one name. Building Design Bodega has been both a creative and personal journey, and seeing it come to life has been incredibly rewarding.
What truly sets us apart is the way we collaborate. Every member of our team brings her own expertise. We work seamlessly together to make each project feel unique and intentional. We care about the details, we care about our clients, and most importantly, we care about the art itself. There’s a genuine love that goes into everything we create, and we think that’s what people feel when they work with us.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
We live in Dade and Broward county. We live in paradise. We live where the rest of the world wants to vacation. We have a lot of likes, especially the diversity. We, ourselves, are a diverse group and enjoy serving the people who vibe with us! As far as what we like least… it is what everyone else likes least, the heat and the traffic.
