Rising Stars: Meet Caroline Seekings of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Seekings.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a big time tom boy. I played every sport I possibly could- at one point I remember begging my parents to let me be on the boys football team-they were reasonable and said absolutely not. I ended up going to college to play lacrosse and after that I moved to and spent a lot of time in Charleston, SC. It was there that I signed with a modeling agency in Miami and would commute back and forth-specifically on the 5am American Airlines flight. After years of that I got booked on my first acting job in NYC. I made the move there and continued to commute back and forth. During that time I signed with my mother agent Gustavo Granados who I now consider my second family. They have been indispensable in my career- through them I have gotten to work in so many amazing places with so many cool people. I now live and work primarily in Miami with some time still spent in NYC. Miami is my favorite because I get to hangout with my best friend Tessa who is also a model and actress here, her 2 great danes and her cat Nuggie who I have practically stolen.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the road to get to where you want to be is rarely as linear as you originally think it will be. For me, there have definitely been some road blocks. There were times when I was traveling so much and I was so tired that I had doubts about myself and my abilities. That is where you have to silence the voices in your head, trust yourself and remind yourself why you started in the first place.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
