Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My travel agent journey started with my love for Disney and planning all the details of the trips I took with family and friends. I was born and raised in Coral Springs, FL and Orlando was the popular vacation spot for my family growing up. I did not really start traveling outside of Florida until high school when I quickly caught the travel bug! It was not until I planned a fully themed 30th birthday party in Disney that the idea of becoming a travel agent crossed my mind. My friends and family always raved about the trip I would plan and how I would always handle the details of everything! I have always been a firm believer in giving the gift of experiences over material items and I loved the idea of being able to help families create those memories.
Becoming an agent with Friend Like Me Travel Co. is more than a dream come true! I get to help families turn their travel dreams into memories that last a lifetime. My clients are able to real and focus on time with their loved ones while I handle all the details!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I struggled with the idea of being too pushy or talking about my travel business with friends. I felt awkward being “that friend” who was pushing their new business on others. So, I learned to just ask for social media support. A like, follow, or share was the best thing I could ask others to do. Eventually, if they needed something travel-related, they knew I was there. Going forward, I have grown my business the most from the recommendations of friends/family.
I also struggled with putting myself out there on social media and content creation. Honestly, it still feels awkward but It has been one of my current goals to get myself out there and post 5 days a week. I even started a TikTok account that will be the next social media project come January 2025.
I am lucky to be part of a company that provides endless support and training to help push me out of my comfort zone and help me reach my goals as I continue to build my business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a travel agent with Friend Like Me Travel Co. specializing in Walt Disney World Vacations, Disneyland Vacations, Universal Theme Park Vacations, Disney Cruise Line, and All-inclusive Resorts. Currently, I am working on my training to sell Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and SilverSea cruises and should be able to offer that service in just a couple of weeks!
I work with families and couples to turn their travel dreams into cherished memories that last a lifetime! I love handling all the details to take the stress out of planning a vacation!
I am most proud of my devotion to continued education with my suppliers. I bring an extensive amount of knowledge to the table. There is not a day that goes by that I am not working on some type of training to make sure my knowledge is up to date! I want to ensure my clients have the best experience possible by curating their trips to fit their needs and expectations.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
As a mom, I have a deep enthusiasm for planning toddler-friendly trips! I joke that I have personally done the trial and error work myself and can happy families navigate traveling with their littlest members!
