Today we’d like to introduce you to Breezy Leza.
Exit One Taproom is the southernmost taproom in the continental US, located in Florida City, Florida. It was established by the Leza Family on September 14, 2018.
Exit One Taproom was built on the premise that people (and pups) from all walks of life could experience quality craft beer in a fun, safe, and family-friendly local spot while enjoying over 70 varieties of draft and package craft beer.
We focus on offering hyper-local, local, and small brewery beers to our guests. Exit One Taproom’s goal is to share how and where these unique beers were made and, oftentimes, their unique backstories with our guests. We now have three house beers which are collaborations with other local Miami breweries, Un’ Lague Lager, La Barbie Blonde and Ale Yeah Pale Ale.
We want to connect people with amazing beer that will serve as the backdrop to a memorable experience at the taproom.
Today we are proud to have surpassed COVID closures with the loyal support of community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opening a taproom in a warehouse district miles away from any similar venue was a challenge. We worked very hard to educate the public in our area on what craft beer was and what it represents. Today, we have a very loyal base who understand craft beer, its purpose and origin.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The beauty of Exit One is the very diverse people who have built it and continue to help it grow. As a group, we do not come from the hospitality industry. I am a former educator and currently a general contractor. Having a varied sense of life experiences and expertise has helped develop all facets of Exit One Taproom very organically from its aesthetic, social media and daily operations.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe the Craft Beer industry will resemble a mature industry to include statewide standards and customs. The big shift in a small Miami scale is that breweries are now working collaboratively to better the whole.
