My story really starts with a lifelong love for social dancing. To me, dance has always been this incredible mashup of culture, artistry, expression, and community—it’s as much about mental health and connection as it is about movement. I’ve spent my life immersed in salsa rhythms and Argentine tango, which is where my roots truly are.
Through years on the dance floor, I developed a deep appreciation for the craft of the dance shoe itself. I realized that the right shoe is a dancer’s most important tool, but finding the perfect blend of technical support and style wasn’t always easy. That’s what led me to create Adore Dance Shoes.
This business is the result of dedicated research and a deep commitment to understanding the dance shoe craft. I’ve spent years in factories and with global brands to curate a collection that you just can’t find anywhere else. I wanted to build a space where dancers of all levels—whether they are just starting or have been dancing for decades—can find worldwide options and expert fitting advice. Today, I’m often known as the ‘Shoe Fairy’ because I’ve made Adore a true dance shoe heaven; I’m here to make sure every dancer who walks in gets the technical support they need to really enjoy their time on the dance floor.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been fortunate that Adore Dance Shoes is such a unique, niche concept. Having no direct competition has been an advantage, though being a solopreneur requires a constant, hands-on commitment. For me, it’s all about the evolution—staying ahead by continuously vetting new global labels and refining the personalized fitting process. It’s a fast-paced way to run things, but it’s what ensures the experience remains authentic and perfectly tuned to what the dance community needs.

I specialize in footwear for salsa, Argentine tango, heels, and pole as well as Bridal/Special events shoes—all styles that demand superb support and comfort and also look gorgeous. I’m often called the ‘Shoe Fairy’ because I’ve turned Adore Dance Shoes into a true dance shoe heaven. I curate exclusive brands from around the world that you won’t find elsewhere, but the heart of what I do is providing the expert, hands-on fitting advice that changes how a dancer actually feels and performs on the right shoes.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built and the joy of seeing a dancer’s face light up when they find ‘the one.’ There is a real magic in that moment of discovery—when they connect with a shoe that matches their style and movement so perfectly it feels like finding a hidden treasure.
What sets me apart is that Adore is the only retail store of its kind dedicated to adult social and professional dancers. I provide the expertise and resources to support them throughout their dance journey, with the right fit at the right time. By combining a personalized fitting with a vetted collection of global brands, I’ve created a ‘dance shoe heaven’ for every dancer to feel joy, love and flow.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I definitely see myself as a calculated risk-taker—or more accurately, a bit of a rebel. I’ve always been drawn to unconventional ideas and solutions that others might shy away from. The biggest risk I’ve taken was opening a store that is unlike any other; a space so niche and specialized that it simply didn’t exist in the market before.
To me, risk is about being resourceful enough to back up your own vision. I didn’t just open a shop; I built a high-level curation model by betting on unique global labels and customization options that others weren’t providing. My perspective is that risk is just the price of admission for creating something truly original. If you aren’t willing to leave the ‘safe’ path and try the unconventional, you’ll never find the one that actually fulfills you and serves your community in a meaningful way.
