Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel Griglin.
Ariel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m the daughter of an entrepreneurial feminist, and I started working in salons at 13. I quickly rose through the beauty industry—becoming an educator for a respected brand, creating editorial work alongside top professionals, and earning national recognition.
But my path had begun long before that. In middle school, I witnessed my parents face life-threatening diagnoses with completely different responses. From my mother, I learned that while we can’t control what happens in life, we can always control how we respond—that is our immutable power.
When a family crisis struck years into my career, I pivoted into fitness—drawing on my athletic roots, competing as a bodybuilder, and helping others transform their bodies. Still, something was missing. More loss and change revealed a deeper calling.
For the past decade, I’ve devoted myself to guiding women towards Becoming Lighter—helping them heal, release stubborn weight, and bring harmony to every aspect of their bodies and lives. It’s multi-faceted and incredibly rewarding. Now, I’m expanding that mission through women’s retreats—spaces where women are deep in spiritual connection and awakening their own empowerment. It’s truly a full circle experience to reflect strength to women just as I learned at such a tender age.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ha! Well aside from the family matters of disease, divorce, and death which challenged me personally there have been plenty. Entrepreneurs juggle a lot. There have been many bumps in the road from having belief in myself to learning about accounting, taxes, marketing, sales and in more recent times dealing with the rapid changes of technology and AI. I didn’t always see it while I was in the midst of each challenge but now I can realize they too were all a part of the original lesson. To know my strength and to then share that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been lucky enough to study under one of the very best in Medical Fitness, Phil Kaplan. Through his protocols and elite team of coaches I’ve been able to elevate in my field. We share a language and school of thought that exceeds the standard in the fitness industry. I specialize in helping women, particularly those that have been through many doctors and diets, finally heal. It is not uncommon for our clients to stun the doctors, get rid of the lexapro, synthroid, metformin, or atorvastatin. The key is understanding that a majority of our population has a condition that lies at the core of all of it – and it’s not being addressed in clinics, hospitals, or gyms and until this condition, has been addressed traditional forms of diets and exercise will fail to produce outcomes.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think entrepreneurs are inherently risk takers. Making a decision to do business your own way, in a way that may not immediately provide a regular paycheck or benefits may be the greatest leap of faith of all. In a way it’s risking your entire life. Who you will become, how you will provide for yourself and your family, and all of the habitual thoughts that blossom from that. I feel like I am taking risks daily – some bigger, some smaller. I’ve learned to be more calculated and conservative, which were not natural traits of mine. It’s a constant balancing act. I genuinely believe the more we can take risks, believe in ourselves and our vision, and constantly learn from those actions – the reward is infinite.
