Rising Stars: Meet Anna Jones of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Jones.

Anna , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My wellness journey really began long before I ever considered it a business. I’ve been vegan for 16 years, and over time, what started as a personal lifestyle choice grew into a genuine passion for holistic living, plant-based wellness, and being more intentional about what we put in and around our bodies.

In 2018, I officially started my wellness business, beginning simply with sage and incense. At the time, I didn’t know exactly what it would become—I just knew I felt called to create something centered around wellness, healing, and community.

A major turning point came in 2020 when I traveled to Bali, Indonesia, right at the beginning of the pandemic. That experience encouraged me to go much deeper. I became increasingly interested in herbs, plant medicine, natural remedies, and non-toxic alternatives for everyday living. Later that year, I began making my own candles, and within just three months of launching, they were being carried in two stores in Atlanta. I also spent a lot of time doing events and pop-up shops, which allowed me to connect with people face-to-face and build a community around the brand rather than simply sell products.

In 2023, I moved to Miami and knew I wanted to take both myself and the brand to another level. I pursued my herbalism certification and began deepening my studies in herbal medicine while continuing to expand my understanding of holistic wellness.

By 2025, that journey evolved into launching my wellness academy—a space where I could bring together the knowledge, experiences, and practices I had accumulated over the years and share them with a larger community.

One thing that has remained important to me throughout every chapter is staying a student. I don’t believe there is ever a point where we know everything, especially when it comes to wellness and nature. I’m constantly learning, evolving, and applying that wisdom to my own life while sharing what I learn with others. Looking back, what started with sage and incense in 2018 has grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined—a lifestyle, a community, and a purpose centered around helping people live more intentionally and reconnect with natural wellness

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ahh there are always many challenges with any new business venture. I’ve faced everything from faulty wicks, forcing me to try various different types of wicks until I found the right one. To the extent of completely taking a year off from making candles intentionally due to healing in my personal life. My candles are a representation of my energy and if my energy is not right I won’t create them.

Some of the other challenges I’ve faced are being behind on orders. All of my candles are hand poured which can be very time consuming. Or trying new scents and not liking them. Kioyko candles are 100% natural and organic which takes true science to master.

There is beauty in the struggle, this is where you’re tested themost to see if you’ll prevail past the obstacles or throw in the towel.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is centered around making holistic wellness feel intentional, accessible, and a natural part of everyday life. Through my wellness brand, I create non-toxic scented candles and natural wellness products, while also working as a certified herbalist and wellness coach. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that wellness is more than one product, diet, or practice—it’s a lifestyle.

What I’m most proud of, however, isn’t necessarily a product I’ve created. It’s the community I’ve been able to build. Creating a space where people can gain knowledge, feel inspired to eat cleaner, explore herbs and plant medicine, discover natural remedies, and become more intentional about their health has been incredibly fulfilling. I love being able to take what I’ve learned and turn it into something that can genuinely help someone else.

I think what sets me apart is that wellness isn’t simply an industry I entered—it’s a lifestyle I’ve personally committed myself to for nearly two decades. I’ve been vegan for 16 years, and my journey has continued to evolve through herbalism, plant medicine, holistic living, and wellness education. I’m constantly studying, learning, and applying these practices in my own life before sharing them with my community.

There is also intention behind everything I create. Whether it’s a candle, a wellness guide, an herbal product, or something I’m teaching within my community, I want there to be a purpose behind it. Ultimately, I want my work to remind people that we can be more conscious about what we consume, what we bring into our homes, and how we care for ourselves—and that even small changes can inspire an entirely different relationship with wellness
