Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Molina.
Hi Angela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
While in in high school, I always had a knack for doing my friends’s hair annd makeup and my mom suggested me in going to beauty school at the time. She was also a part-time student they are studying aesthetics. After graduating beauty school right after high school I assisted at a few salons. And had some great years working as an independent stylist after that. Fast forward to when I was pregnant with my first child around the age of 25 I was working out of my home when I got a letter in the mail about these new salon suites opening up. After about a year or soI took a leap of faith and moved into my first salon suite. And have been there for 13 years. I finally now ended up moving into a bigger salon suite in a new location in downtown Fort Lauderdale, where I am continuing to grow as a more wellness salon. And still working as a professional Hair And Makeup artist for events and weddings..
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have to say so far it has been a smooth road. I’m very humble and lucky that I have till this day. Many clients that have been with me since the first day I opened up my salon suite.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So my main areas of specialty are hair extensions, organic/clean hair, color, and integrative hair therapies, including head spa and scalp care. What I believe I am most proud of and what sets me apart from others is that I truly care about the overall well-being and energy of my client and wanting to bring that more into the salon atmosphere. A place where my clients can come and recharge their battery, a.k.a. nervous system and get back into a more centered heart space so their inner beauty can shine even more on the outside.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I don’t really consider myself a risk taker, however, making this move into a bigger space and investing into better quality equipment and I knew product line and just the overall upgrade to be able to push the vision that I see for my salon was a big risk and I hope That the shift in my “ rebrand” is really felt
