Rising Stars: Meet Alena Strazhnikova of Dania Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alena Strazhnikova

Hi Alena , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I, Alena Strazhnikova, founder and the owner of Yourock Entertainment LLC, the prime live music entertainment fast growing company.

The story begins in 2016, when i, simple girl from Russia, that nobody knew, moved from Russia to USA with a dream of becoming a musician. So i started from playing piano and singing in small restaurants and cafes, sometimes for free, because nobody knew me. Little by little I created a name and started to have more and more gigs and also recognition from the local musicians and bands. You know, finding your way and place as an artist is never an easy path. You need to have a vision and a plan, where are you going with this.

In my case, when I started to be more and more involved in local music business, and now more musicians, live bands, places, I realized that just doing gigs is not enough. I wanted to grow. So back in 2021, Yourock Entertainment was born. I have to mention my best partner in this, person that inspired me with the idea of creating the company. You know, people say, sometimes you just need 1 person to believe in you. And i’ve got this person – my husband Manolo, who is also my partner in the company.

Yourock is our baby that we created together because we both can’t live without music and it felt that it was just the TIME. We wanted not just to combine several music projects that we had going one in one place, but also to connect all the musicians that we knew, artists, bands and help them promote their projects and also give them the creative freedom they deserve. To create the space where local musicians can thrive, where their authenticity would shine through, and their stories could be told through music.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We had to invest in the first year. Equipment, knowledge, TIME. So it was never easy in the beginning. You have to be patient and wait for results.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Right now the company have several successful and growing projects. These are one of them:

1. Bad Reputation Rock Band – a tribute to the best hits of female rock & pop
2. Black Velvet Duo
3. Sudamerican Rockers – tribute to the best hits of Rock en Espanol
4. Atomic Bomb – tribute to Blondie & Joan Jett

And this list is growing very fast.

I am most proud about always doing things with passion and care, and willingness to stay true to my values.
Yourock entertainment is the company that is always think about delivering the best quality of experience and is very attentive to what the customers are looking for. What definitely set us apart from others is pushing the boundaries of what music can be and standing put for creativity and forward-thinking.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The advice – be yourself. Don’t be afraid to show who you are. Do what you do with passion. Work hard. Always listen to your inner voice – and choose the direction your heart whispers you to choose.

Yeah… there’s one lesson I wish I learned a long time ago – everything depends on YOU. Don’t rely on other ppl, don’t wait when smb will arrange things for you or when good things will fly into your arms in a miraculous, unexpected way – just because you think you are so special. Ask yourself – what you want. And how YOU – can make it happen 🙂

Also just be OUT playing and the right people will find you. You don’t have to be perfect to play on stage. Don’t spend all your time practicing in garage and trying to get perfect. It will never be perfect. So don’t be so hard on yourself. Get your feet wet, Start with something. FAIL. Failing is the best way to grow.
