Rising Stars: Meet Achunchigan Lattore of Ormond Beach, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Achunchigan Lattore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started out presenting my content online as a BBQ enthusiast who was learning the craft in real time. I would present how processes and recipes worked or didn’t work for me. My real-time lessons helped others learn as well so upon seeing this, I leaned into being the reference that I needed for others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey to creating this brand and be able to benefit/monetize it hasn’t been easy. There has been distractions, failures, scams among other obstacles that have tried to derail my journey. One of the biggest struggles came about when I lost my focus and that took away my drive and energy. Things are progressing as they should and I remain grateful for the process that has been molding me into this figure that I am becoming.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Backyard BBQ enthusiast who creates content online to make a clear distinction between competition BBQ and Real life BBQ. Not to sell a product or push a narrative, but to make the road easier to learn how to create simple meals for your friends and family. I am also an entrepreneur. Recently launched my catering company and visiting farmer’s markets as a licensed vendor. What sets me apart from many other BBQ figures online is I do not make up secrets to sell a narrative or a product. I am a brash, straight forward voice that seeks to give the audience real life and not just 4K food porn.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I like the “small town’ vibe of my city. Even though we are far from a small town, it is small enough where we aren’t bogged down by crime, traffic and over-population(yet). What I like least is that there are not very many opportunities to excel in BBQ as that isn’t a tradition around here. Carving out this niche in this locale will be the mission.
