Natalie Atick of Pembroke Pines on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Natalie Atick and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I’m up at 6:30am. I meditate right when I wake up. Then I do my morning skincare routine. Prepare breakfast for me and my daughter. After that I wake her up and we have breakfast together.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Natalie Atick, the beauty-obsessed mom who’s been turning her bathroom counter into a mini-lab since 2017. By day I’m wrangling my energetic daughter Ella, and by night (and most nap times) I’m filming brutally honest makeup reviews, drugstore vs luxury showdowns, and budget-friendly try-on hauls for my community on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

My brand lives at the sweet spot where affordable meets aspirational. What makes my content different is the “no-gatekeeping” rule: every product I rave about is something I personally test and break down in plain language so my followers know exactly where their dollars are going.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: make beauty feel fun, fearless, and totally attainable—whether you’re a seasoned makeup maven or grabbing your very first mascara.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memories of feeling powerful go back to grade school, when I would consistently earn the top spot in my class year after year. I wasn’t the loudest or the most naturally gifted—but I worked hard. I studied late, stayed focused, and put in the effort even when no one was watching. Those early experiences taught me something I still carry with me today: the harder I work, the more I achieve. That mindset has shaped everything I do—whether it’s creating content, building my brand, or chasing new opportunities.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Recently, I’ve learned that one of the most powerful ways to truly heal—physically, emotionally, and energetically—is by regulating my nervous system. It’s been a shift from constantly trying to “fix” things on the outside to creating calm and safety within myself.

Now, I prioritize practices that support my nervous system: EFT tapping, meditation, grounding, soaking in the sunlight, and simply allowing myself to slow down. These rituals have become my medicine. They help me reconnect with my body, release stored tension, and remind my system that it’s safe to relax. Healing for me isn’t just about what I do—it’s about how I feel while doing it. And that’s been a beautiful shift.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friends what really matters to me, they’d probably say authenticity—being real with myself and others, no filters, no pretending. They’d say I care deeply about growth—emotional, spiritual, personal—and that I’m always trying to become the best version of myself, not just for me, but for the people I love.

They’d tell you that my daughter is at the center of my world, and that everything I do is grounded in creating a life filled with love, joy, and intention for her. They know I value connection, that I’m the kind of person who will hold space for someone else’s truth, even when it’s messy.

And they’d definitely mention that I’m passionate about beauty—not just on the outside, but the kind that radiates from within. Whether it’s through my content, my healing journey, or how I show up in friendships, I lead with heart. That’s what really matters to me.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
The first thing I’d do is stop giving energy to anything that causes me unnecessary stress. I wouldn’t waste a single moment worrying about things out of my control, people’s opinions, or trying to meet unrealistic expectations. I’d stop overthinking, overcommitting, and overextending myself for things that don’t light me up.

Instead, I would fully embrace a slower, more intentional life. I’d travel with my daughter as much as possible—just the two of us collecting memories, exploring new places, and soaking in every little moment together. I’d choose peace over pressure, presence over productivity. I’d focus on beauty, joy, simplicity, love—and live like every day is a gift. Because it is.
