We recently had the chance to connect with Nahomie Jean Louis and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nahomie, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts with a run on the beach. It clears my mind and sets the tone for the day. I usually skip breakfast and dive straight into work, splitting my time between nurturing my creative projects and work at Erickson Immigration Group. A lot of my energy goes into 1923, the members-only social club I built in Mallorca. That might mean planning events, meeting with collaborators, shaping the space itself, recording podcasts, interviews, writing and so on.
In the afternoon, I make time to chat with people who are close to me, since those conversations ground me. Evenings are when I slow down. I love cooking, sharing a glass of wine, or simply letting music fill the house. My days feel full in a way that balances work, community, creativity, and connection.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nahomie Jean Louis and I am the founder of 1923, a private members only social club based in Mallorca with chapters in Miami and New York. I created it as a space where community, creativity, and sensory experiences come together. What makes 1923 unique is that it is not just a venue but a living, evolving canvas for connection where people gather around art, music, storytelling, and thought provoking events that spark both intimacy and inspiration.
Beyond 1923, I also focus on various creative projects, one in particular is a book about my journey of moving to Mallorca, and I host a podcast exploring leadership, sensuality, and self expression in business. My path has always been about following intuition, taking risks, and creating spaces that invite people to connect more deeply with themselves and with each other. Right now, I am focused on growing 1923 internationally while continuing to share my creative work and story.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that needs to be released is the version of myself that believed I had to overextend, prove, and constantly push just to earn my place. For a long time I carried the weight of needing to do it all alone, to work twice as hard to be seen, and to always have control. That version of me served its purpose because it got me here, it gave me resilience, and it allowed me to build something from the ground up.
But now I feel called to let go of the part of me that operates from survival. I am learning to trust support, softness, and flow. I want to release the old belief that everything has to be a fight, and instead embrace the possibility that things can come with ease, alignment, and joy.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been multiple times I felt like giving up , from when I left Miami to start over in Mallorca and again while building 1923 through endless challenges. But giving up has never truly felt like an option. The vision of what I’m creating and the life I’m building has always been stronger than the doubt.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to writing my story, no matter how long it takes. For me it is more than a book, it is a way to show others that it is possible to take the leap, to start over, and to create a life that feels true. If my story inspires even one person to trust themselves and follow their own path, it will all be worth it.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am by the sea. Running along the beach in the morning or simply watching or hearing the waves from home reminds me to breathe and trust the rhythm of life. I also feel peace in quiet moments at home, cooking, writing, or sharing a glass of wine with people I love. Those small rituals bring me back to myself.
