Thanks for sharing your story with us Wayne. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my business as Long Island Party Rentals in New York City. I realized that weddings and events were becoming more custom and more unique. I also recognized that weddings and events were becoming a way for vendors to showcase works of art and I realized that floral design could only go so far. I decided that in order to enhance the florals, there also needed to be unique, custom made furniture pieces to complement a designer’s masterpiece. We began with tables and chairs and soon, we learned that we could create almost anything. As our inventory grew, the need for more pieces grew. What began as Long Island Party Rentals expanded into Georgia Party Rentals and now our brand has evolved into Iconic Party Rentals because we our nationwide and we feel that our pieces are truly icons in the room where they are present.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has not been easy, but it has been worth it! I will say that we grew much faster than we anticipated and while we knew that we were going to serve a huge market in New York, we had no idea that we would grow to serve so many outsides of the New York area. In our first years of business, we actually would make our products in New York and drive them to parts of the South or to the Midwest. Our team was exhausted! We were leaving at 2 am to set up for a 6 pm wedding and then we would drive back to New York to start making items for another wedding. We take great pride in our work but we were driving our vehicles and our bodies into the ground literally! This is why we decided to open warehouses in other cities Atlanta, Georgia and now Miami, Florida. We are better prepared to serve these cities as well as these regions. We appreciate our nationwide client base and want to ensure that we provide excellent customer service to all of our clients.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Iconic Decor Rentals – what should we know?
Iconic Decor Rentals specializes in custom event rentals. From acrylic tables to infinity chairs to mirrored walls to statement pieces, IDR provides it all. We provide flatware and custom chargers, we design and make stages and other custom furniture pieces. We have an innumerable amount of custom tables and chairs as well as sofas, ottomans and pieces you didn’t even realize you need. Our inventory is limitless. Your room is incomplete without an event rental from IDR. We love partnering with our friends in the industry to create the perfect room and that is what makes us most proud. We love knowing that our pieces can enhance the most classical or the most contemporary design. It is our goal to help everyone be iconic.

IDR is supported by so many and I’m blessed that my mother and my family has helped to make this dream come true. My mother has been instrumental in ensuring that I work hard and remain committed to making IDR all that it can be. I’m grateful for her push in helping me reach my greatest potential. I’m also grateful for the support of all of my family and friends who work with me to constantly make IDR a reality. I’m also grateful for the advocacy of those who believed in me enough to give IDR a chance in the early years to include IDR in your design, in your client’s room… your inclusion of IDR helped to bring us to this point today. We are undergirded by so many and that is why we pay it forward. We want others to experience the success that we have experienced. As we rise, we bring others along with us. That’s how we remain iconic.
