Violet, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Grand Wedding Exit specializes in wedding sparklers and sparklers for events in South Florida and across the nation located in Miami, Florida. I’m the owner and creator Violet Stanford. It wasn’t until I had my own wedding that I realized how hard it was to find quality sparklers for weddings. If it wasn’t for my amazing wedding planners and event coordinators countless efforts I may have not had the fairy-tale wedding exit with all of my wedding guests lining up with sparklers as I exited with my husband.
Weeks after my wedding past I was looking at my favorite photos of the entire wedding and they happened to be our sparkler exit ones. I realized it was tragedy brides had to hunt and search so hard to find quality wedding sparklers. Within months of research I decided to quit my ordinary job and start a new journey.
Months of meeting tons of distributors and companies across the US; and with the help of amazing wedding planners in South Florida I was able to offer brides and grooms the best wedding sparklers. All of our sparklers are virtually smokeless and ash- less and are perfect for all events and occasions!
Has it been a smooth road?
Creating this company and launching it on the internet was quite the learning curve. I soon realized tons of big companies are in the pyrotechnics industry, but none actually gave the proper attention to the wedding industry or even offered quality customer service. With the power of advertising and social media presence, I was able to create a niche in the industry.
Don’t get me wrong, it took about 3-5 years before any of the big sparkler companies knew my name or any regular customers knew me. I was able to gain a big presence through word of mouth with wedding planners that really made a big impact. Nothing beats serving a quality product and letting the customers and planners spread the news!
After seven years in business in Florida, I’m still not anywhere near the most popular, but it’s great to know with hard work and dedication you can make an impact, even if slowly!

Grand Wedding Exit is proud to be one of the few sparkler companies that offers true wedding sparklers. True wedding sparklers are virtually smokeless and ash-less. These are an upgrade from your typical 4th of July sparklers that tend to be extremely smoky and smell of sulfur. Our sparklers are made with a steel wire core to help ensure that when the newlyweds exit they are walking through a shower of sparkles, that make for some of the best pictures at your wedding. These sparklers are also great for all celebration events and can some of our sparklers can even be used at indoor events!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
When I first opened my doors I could have started my business anywhere. As a born and raised Floridian, I didn’t wanna ever leave the state and figured Miami is a great place where events and weddings happen all year around. For a company that sells products for celebrations, I figured Miami would be an amazing market!
Depending on what business you are starting would really depend on what city is right for you. But if you need a large number of people looking for something to do all the time, Miami is the perfect market!
