Today we’d like to introduce you to Vany Vicious
Hi Vany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started modeling very randomly . I used to have a roommate when I was 18 years old and she ended up finding some camera at a garage sale or something like that and she wanted to practice taking photos so we’d set up little photo shoot scenes throughout our house and the journey kind of began like that. I thought it was fun and ended up signing up to some website (that no longer exists ) that would pay models like $50 or $75 for photoshoots even if they were terrible lol . From there I started meeting professional photographers and just pretty much never stopped shooting.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As far as my career, I can’t say it hasn’t been smooth. I’ve always been smart about the people I interact and work with (which is why there are only a selected few, still to this day ), So I never had any terrible experiences as far as dealing with creepy photographers, or rude-ness or anything like that. The only time it becomes a struggle is really within the dating realm .
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’ve been a model for 20 years and a social media “influencer” since myspace . I’m not sure I technically specialize in anything because I just love being creative. I will shoot anything from lingerie to horror scenes. So it really depends on my mood, and really the time of the season. Around September/October I start to get a little weird. lol.
I’m most proud of my level head honestly. It’s very easy to become wrapped up in the social media world . I’ve always remained myself , authentic , and humble. I also think thats what sets me apart from others. I’m always myself and I always have boundaries and high standards on and off camera. I dont romanticize fame and things like that. I see it as a job, and off camera , I’m totally normal.
