Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Guerrero.
Hi Vanessa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been passionate about fashion, creativity, and helping people feel confident in who they are. Since a very young age, I have been into fashion and remember wearing my mother’s clothes and pretending I was modeling or selling the clothes. Fast forward and my professional background actually started in interior design and executive support, where I spent years helping lead designers bring concepts to life, coordinating large-scale events, managing relationships, and working with people from all different backgrounds and industries. That experience taught me how to understand people, and create experiences that feel intentional and memorable, which naturally translated into styling.
Over time, fashion became more than just a personal passion. I started creating content, sharing styling ideas online, and helping women put together outfits in a way that felt approachable and authentic. What began organically evolved into launching my own personal styling business.
A very big milestone in my journey was working with designer Juan De La Cruz during Florida Men’s Fashion Week and Art Basel in 2025. That experience gave me exposure to the fashion production world at a higher level and reinforced that I truly belonged in this industry. Those opportunities helped me connect fashion, creativity, and community in a beautiful and inspiring way.
Today, I can say that I just hosted my first fashion styling event, during a networking night where I showed women the power of clothes. This is just the beginning as I continue building my personal styling business while growing as a content creator. I love creating fashion content that inspires women to see style as a tool for confidence and self-expression rather than something intimidating or exclusive. While I’m still evolving, this is what makes the journey exciting!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been smooth, like many people building something creative, one of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust myself and take up space in an industry that can sometimes feel very competitive.
Transitioning from a more traditional corporate background into entrepreneurship and personal branding also came with a learning curve. I had to learn how to put myself out there publicly, create content consistently, network in the fashion industry, and believe that my perspective had value.
Another challenge has been balancing growth with authenticity. Social media can create pressure to constantly compare yourself or fit into a certain mold, but I’ve worked hard to stay grounded in what feels genuine to me. I never wanted to become someone who promotes unrealistic standards or makes women feel like they need to completely reinvent themselves to be stylish.
There were also moments where opportunities felt intimidating at first, especially working in fashion events and production, but every experience helped build my confidence. Looking back, those uncomfortable moments were actually the ones that pushed me to grow the most.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a personal stylist and content creator focused on helping people feel confident, elevated, and comfortable in their own style. My approach to styling is very personal because I genuinely believe fashion should reflect who you already are, not who someone else thinks you should become.
I specialize in creating wearable, polished looks that feel authentic to each client’s lifestyle and personality. Whether it’s helping someone refresh their wardrobe, style pieces they already own, shop with intention, or feel more confident dressing for events or everyday life, my goal is always to make fashion feel empowering and accessible.
I’m also continuing to grow as a content creator, which has allowed me to combine styling with storytelling, fashion events, beauty, travel, and lifestyle content in a way that feels natural to me.
What I’m most proud of is launching my personal styling business and seeing it continue to grow organically. It takes a lot of courage to bet on yourself creatively, especially when you’re building something from the ground up. Every opportunity, collaboration, event, and client interaction reminds me why I started.
What sets me apart is the way I see my clients. I’m not here to change people or make them fit into trends that don’t align with them. I want them to feel seen for who they already are. I think style becomes truly powerful when it enhances someone’s confidence instead of masking their identity. I care deeply about helping my clients feel good in their own skin, and I think people can genuinely feel that intention in the work I do.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I love staying connected to both the creative and business sides of fashion. I regularly read Business of Fashion (BoF)
and listen to The Business of Fashion Podcast because it gives such great insight into the industry beyond just trends and aesthetics.
I also enjoy following The Fashion Law because I find the business and legal side of fashion incredibly interesting, especially as the industry continues evolving with social media and digital creators.
For inspiration and organization, I use platforms like Instagram and Tiktok to see what’s trending and how I can apply those trends to my style. Beyond resources, I honestly think one of the biggest things that helps me do my best is staying curious, observing people, traveling, attending events, and allowing myself to be inspired by different cultures, art, and everyday life experiences.
