Meet Valerie Harvey of Elite Homes Team at Coldwell Banker Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valerie Harvey.

Hi Valerie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since 1997, South Florida has been my home. My life’s journey has taken me across three continents, residing in six countries and experiencing the vibrancy of ten different cities. Born in the enchanting French West Indies, I embarked on an educational adventure, attending boarding school in France and pursuing college education at Babson College in Massachuset.

Before transitioning to real estate, I had a dynamic career with Merrill Lynch International and later contributed to my family’s business. Community service is important to me and I held the prestigious position of Past President in two prominent organizations in Fort Lauderdale: the Charity Guild and Women Owning Wellness, a Holy Cross Hospital Fundraising group.

Charities focused on women and children, and their causes has been my focuss and I have served on boards for both the Junior League of Miami and of Fort Lauderdale. Additionally, I was actively engaged in the my children’s school’s parent board.

To me, the world of real estate is not uniform and mutual trust is paramount when it comes to serving my clients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Real estate is about service and trust and the experience that comes with each transaction. Without the support of my family in the early days of my real estate carrer, I could not have invested so much time and money into building a successfull business. the first 2 years were about learning and the next 2 were about creating systems and a team. Each year has its series of teachable moments and I treasure themfor without them there is no growth.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The harder I work, the luckier I get! Luck has definitely favored me in my life and in my various careers and being mindfull and creating space for a morning routine has helped center me and make me even luckier.
