20 years ago, I arrived to work and spend some time in Miami!
A few years later, I met Joe, my husband and founding partner of GuiaMiami.
After falling in love with the city and the Miami Lifestyle, I decided to call Miami home, in 2007, I finally became an American citizen.
The constant presence of friends and family visiting Miami ended up becoming a routine and inspired us to start offering exclusive boat rides around Biscayne Bay.
The love for Miami was the starting point for the Instagram profile where I share everything about the city and South Florida.
Later, the blog WWW.GUIA.MIAMI was created becoming a reference to people planning to visit the city.
Helping people is my passion and after 5 years dedicated to Miami, I helped thousands of Brazilians seeking information when is time for them to explore the city, providing tips and suggestions of where to go, what to do and many other things as I share everything that happens in here. Today, with more than 140 thousand followers, the Instagram @GuiaMiami turned into a great meeting point for people who appreciate Miami and Flórida!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was lucky enough to have a smooth journey! My best advice is hard work, dedication, honesty, and to be yourselves!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Guiamiami – what should we know?
Today, I work as a digital influencer, guiding not only visitors but anyone that want to enjoy Miami and Florida. We also offer a boat experience, so visitors can enjoy the great weather we have in South Florida. I am proud to spread the word that Miami is a great place not only to enjoy the beaches but to appreciate art and culture!
Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
I like to be well informed and use all apps available for news and weather, so I know what to expect and tell my followers what to expect when staying in Miami! The apps I use the most are AP News, WeatherBug and, of course, Instagram, not only to post my content but to learn about what is happening!
