Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Diverio and Charlotte Dunagan.
Known for their discerning eye and global flair, interior design firm, Dunagan Diverio Design group believes that every space should embody ‘timeless, understated elegance.’
When Tom Diverio became partners with Charlotte Dunagan, they agreed that their niche in the market would be an upscale, luxurious residence. Their concepts range from traditional to modern styles. And as Tom says, “A home must consist of an interior and exterior that are integrated and create a cohesive design that tells a story that is not only timeless, but also classic and functional.”
When Charlotte founded the firm in 2002, she never could have imagined just how large the company would grow or how respected and admired she would become. Her French heritage emirates in her Euro designs. Tom joined the firm six years ago and became a partner a little over two years ago.
The firm now resides in a large studio in Coral Gables, filled with creative energy. Dunagan Diverio Design Group strongly believes in giving back to those less fortunate. For every contract awarded to the firm, a contribution is made towards any number of different projects through B1G1, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world that is full of giving.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road, of course, every business and every relationship has its ups and downs, but we have been blessed that our business has been steadily growing.
It has remained a federal-based business since the beginning. Our expected challenges have mostly been to find team members that have the same sense of aesthetic and commitment that we both have.
Dunagan Diverio Design Group – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our company is comprised of about 15 team members. We specialize in high end residential private homes from the ground up and are responsible for all of the interior design and interior architecture of the homes. We are known for having a very timeless and elegant approach to our projects whether they are traditional or modern.
We are most proud of the level of projects we have been lucky enough to work on and the opportunity to be working regionally, as well as nationally. Our keen design flair and an innate approach to creating classic homes in every possible style has set us apart from the others.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We feel that we take great pride in our work and strive to create unique projects that reflect our client’s lifestyle and exceed their expectations.
Each project and experience is tailored to the client’s needs and vision. Our patience and caring are also reflected in our work.
