Today we’d like to introduce you to Thanne Capobiango.
Hi Thanne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Brazil and raised in sunny Miami. Inspired by art, I have a strong background in fashion, marketing, and interior design. Though an art enthusiast, fashion is where my heart is. As an open-minded person, I appreciate different shapes and forms, I am a true believer in self-expression and all types of communication. Constantly searching for self-improvement by networking, attending workshops, and trying different things that will take me out of my comfort zone is a part of my daily routine. As a co-founder, I aim to apply my passion and constantly grow the business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting your own brand will require a great professional commitment and a larger initial investment to achieve significant results. The road to entrepreneurship is not a straight line but a road that is always full of twists and turns. As in many other areas, the shortage of operational labor and lack of skills in the field can be an issue. Hence, we believe that it is necessary to lay a solid foundation, cooperate with different industry segments, and understand the new trends in the market in order to always stand out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a co-founder of the business, I need to be able to navigate through the different departments and daily tasks, but my focus and where I feel the most comfortable is with Fashion Styling and Art Direction. The work is endless, as I need to stay on top of the fashion industry, updated on what’s going on, and anticipate future trends. I am constantly attending fashion shows, visiting showrooms, keeping in touch with other creatives, always connected to different social media channels, and constantly connecting with influencers and bloggers. But above all in my field of work is understanding the processes of the creation, the materials needed, and the cost in time, money, and energy. My main focus is curating collections and telling a story through images to ensure that there is a narrative present at every step of the creative process. After all, fashion is at its peak in a digitized world where the amount of information is enormous and in the palm of our hands. Often, the impact that viewing an image has on us is enough for our attention to be captured for that message, and this idea is what I try to convey through my work, the image of the business and its collections is essential for efficient communication.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
In the world crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, small businesses like ours have had to adapt. Our focus was to create more online content to get closer to the community and strengthen the business image. Our philosophy was to strengthen the brand and obtain business stability. During the lockdown period, we kept the business running by producing reusable masks and donating to those in need. At Benatti Beachwear, we believe that it is very important for us to make our business more humane and closer to our public when dealing with changes and difficulties.
