Teresa, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
As a young child I always looked for creative outlets to immerse myself into. I was either putting together a craft, decorating something, planning my next coordinated “fashion” outfit or my all
Time favorite writing and being able to express my thoughts and feelings freely.
I also enjoyed reading very much in particular inspirational or faith based books. I was inspired by real life stories
and people helping others. One of my fondest memories is traveling to Ecuador 🇪🇨 and seeing how kids were working outside selling candy and trying to make ends meet ( I immediately promised myself that at some point I must travel and help kids ) I made that a Big Goal of mine and that realization and dream came true for me I was able to travel to 3 countries in one year and do missions with kids in varias orphanages. My parents are from Cuba and Ecuador. Being born and raised in the US but having Latin parents has helped me to see how truly blessed and fortunate we are here in the US while still staying connected to my roots and culture. I am proud to be of Latin background and being able to make a difference in my community.
Currently I work in the medical field and I’m an inspirational lifestyle blogger…I share my stories, experiences, in hope that others can relate, reflect and be inspired…I love that because of my community and my blog of fellow creatives we are able to connect, meet new people and help one another. It’s truly beautiful to find your tribe along the journey in life…
I am a firm believer in sharing our stories with others we never know who we may be helping along the way. I’m so grateful to have this platform and be able to share pieces of myself…
In the near future I am hoping to launch a podcast that will be relative to my blog and be able to touch other people’s lives…
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
What I love most about my career is being able to step in a help others. it’s rewarding and fulfilling to know we can all make a difference where we are placed.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Diana Campo and Dcshopstore and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Dcshopstore.
I met Diana at a bloggers meetup in Florida… We immediately clicked, we had so much in common ( our creativity, being latinas, fashion, faith and much more ) We exchanged information and had quite a few successful blog meets ups together.. We also were invited to VIP Events and some informative and learning workshops.
Our friendship grew and we kept each other motivated ( the rest was history haha)
When Diana shared with me she was going to start her own business I was so excited for her!
Knowing that she has such great taste in fashion and is a motivated Woman I know this field would be perfect for her…
When She launched her online store I wanted to support and buy just a “few items” however the more I bought from her I realized her shop not only has unique things but they are comfortable and great quality ( handmade & 100 % Colombian textile )
I have quite a few dresses & accessories from her line which I absolutely love. I would definitely recommend her shop for gifts, dresses, accessories and beautiful hand crafted items.
