Meet Stephanie Salcedo of Signing with Stef

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Salcedo

Stephanie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Stephanie, everyone calls me Stef. I am a rooted in faith, wife, mother type of woman. I started my own signing notary business to be able to serve those in need and help anyone that needs someone they know if called will get the answers needed.

I have previously owned a handmade jewelry business with all the experience acquired with self employment, marketing, customer service skills, etc I invest in a new venture for my brand. I have the background and understanding of the challenges that may be faced when being self employed and expanding a brand name. It has been ups and downs along with learning experience that truly mold your company and shows your dedication to building your name.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This is a good question because nothing worth having comes easy.

It has been a struggle especially because nowadays no one is eager to help or share their experiences/successes to get where they are today. It’s all a competition, I have had my fair shares of feeling as if I am having to compete with my friendly neighbor when there is no need.

A business like this is unique and diverse in the aspect of someone has something different to bring to the table. We are all not the same in this notary business field. Some have scheduling restrictions while others don’t, some can travel some may not, there are different types of documents each notary decides to sign or take on as a client.

I truly study each category and obtain knowledge to be diverse and fluent in various documents you are needing signed and reviewed. I value your time and want to make sure that what you are needing to get done is accomplished without hiccups closing a home run. In and out.

That is how I like to do business, thankfully I am multi tasked in being detail oriented while managing my time efficiently.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Signing with Stef?
I obtained my notary in 2021 with intentions of just having it. One day I realized that all along I had a chance to help others, learn more about notarizing & what could be added onto this type of freelance work. I also got ordained to preform marriages in 2024 when I really decided to invest my time into this new business venture. Having someone you know as a notary that can verify, and sign is really an assets to your persons and a really good connect to have when needed. I want to be valued and seen in this type of work because I truly value what I do and show professionalism to every client in the best way possible all while being me! I love serving others, God is good all the time.

I have always been curious about real estate with this and being certified as a lease signing agent I can really learn the inside end of these types of closing documents. Honestly being a student first is a game changer in any situation. What I offer is not only services to help you, but the confidence to sign knowing you are informed, guided, and being treated exactly how you want to be when dealing in customer service. I am always available to help and if I am not I will direct you to someone who is.

Being one of the most valuable contacts in a persons phone book is important to me.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was raised a single child in a Hispanic household born in Pennsylvania. A small town where my grandparents knew a lot of people. We went to a Catholic Church every Sunday, I was in Sunday school. I am one of 13 grand children, the oldest. Puerto Rican and Peruvian ethnicity background, my grandparents grew up in New York as adolescents, my mother as a teen and then moved to PA where I born in the 90s era. In the early 00’s I moved to Florida at a young age where I have stayed and grown roots, went to school, lived my teens and adult life, eventually met my husband, had children, and serve at my church where I’ve found home.

I have always had interest in helping and teaching others. If I know someone that would help someone else, I’m in. Each one teach one.
