Stephane, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Across my tech entrepreneur life (28+ years), I interviewed hundreds of candidates. Since my first hiring, I know that human resources are the biggest concern for all businesses whatever their sizes and kinds.
I talked over the years with many friends/business owners about hiring in different business sectors here in Miami, but also in NYC, California and Oregon, and conclusion is the same, HR are an every-day-challenge.
The idea of INSTIRE came to my mind five years ago, I understood that our society was switching towards a new work paradigm. In just a few years, many sectors have been completely disrupted: you can catch a ride, buy everything or find a vacation rental in the palm of your hand in less than a minute; but when talking about staffing and job posting, there were no tool as simple and efficient as Uber or Lyft for the transportation.
So, I imagined a platform allowing recruiters and candidates to interact in real-time, an easy-to-use hiring app as simple as possible that helps to find staff or jobs literally in minutes.
I was not able to start developing the project at the time since I had another business to run and because I was convinced another similar and simple tool would pop on the market. I nevertheless registered the domain name in 2015, then the company in 2016 and registered the trademark in 2017. I really started working 100% last year.
Instire, the App for instant hiring is live since Q4 2019 on both the Appstore and GooglePlay, to date we have 100+ active users in Miami and Broward county.
Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely the road was not smooth to bring this idea to life, the main obstacle was to build a tech team that would execute my idea as I imagined it while respecting my specs and budget.
I tried and failed with three teams, local and remote. I finally found last year the perfect CTO/Co-founder and Instire app was born Q4 last year.
We are currently fundraising (seed round) and this is also a real challenge amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
