I am pleased to say I love what I do. I chose the field of plastic surgery for its diversity and its ability to change a person’s life. I am a perfectionist at heart and bring that to every challenge I encounter. I come from a medical family and it was at the age of 10, after seeing my first surgery, I decided to become a surgeon. After attending the University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate degree, I went to UT Southwestern Medical School. After graduating at the top of my class, I was chosen to attend my top-ranked residency program at the University of South Florida for Plastic Surgery. From the beginning of my training, I took the initiative to concentrate my efforts on the field of aesthetic surgery. I traveled to Europe to spend time learning the art of facial fillers. I visited surgeons from Latin America to learn different and innovative techniques.
I was one of a very lucky few to have the ability to enter into my chosen field at such a young age. For the following 6 years, I would perfect the technical skills that make me the board certified surgeon I am today. I invite you to browse my website and contact me with any questions. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of my biggest challenges was learning to separate my emotional involvement with my patients. During my residency, I had to deal with some real gut checks. Seeing families dealing with the loss of a loved one, or traumas that leave people disfigured, or permanently scarred is a difficult thing not to be affected by. I think ultimately being a surgeon; part of the strength that builds our character is to be present and a pillar of support for those who are suffering.

I geared my whole life towards medicine, towards being a surgeon. I took the initiative to deepen my understanding of aesthetic surgery by traveling across Europe and Latin America, visiting world-class surgeons, learning different, innovative techniques and exploring the art of facial fillers.

I don’t believe in good luck or bad luck. I have a strong passion for what I do and I worked really hard to get where I’m at today. However, I have a Type A Personality, so I can’t say I am satisfied. I am always looking to learn new things and consistently searching for the next challenge.
