Meet Scott Edelsberg of Funtastic Photo Events in Aventura

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Edelsberg.

Scott, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was a child my uncle owned a few catering halls in the tri-state area in the late 80’s. My first job was a waiter in one of his catering halls. I basically grew up in the catering/event business. In 2000, I moved to Florida and opened up a novelty photography business.

My early jobs consisted of photography and party favors. I brought key chains and snow globes to parties. In 2005, the demand expanded into game rentals and Photo Booth’s, I moved along with it. I loved the transitions. I am proud to say, we now offer over 30 different Photo Booth machines and 100’s of different game rentals for all types of events.

Has it been a smooth road?
My struggles came in the transition periods. For example, when we first began we did photo favors; key chain, magnets, and fun frames. Then, Photo Booth machines became popular and my business slowed down. This is when I decided the best way to tackle transitions is to do my best to stay ahead of curve. I was one of the first companies in South Florida to offer photo Booth machine rentals for parties.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Funtastic Photo Events – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What sets us apart from other event photo booth and game rental companies is our inventory. We are constantly expanding and we own our equipment. We have a giant Lite- Brite, giant snow globes, 16 players LED foosball games, vintage arcade games and we even have a Zoltar machine from the movie big. I’m a kid at heart.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about the city is the fine dining and the atmosphere. I’ve encountered a lot of enjoyable people. My least favorite things about the city are traffic and parking.
