Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandy Fernandez.
Sandy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a mother of two teenage boys, a certified yoga teacher, Reiki master, clairvoyant and finance guru. I’ve often been called “the money angel” by my clients.
I was in the Banking and Finance industry for 21 years. I started my career in Banking as a part-time teller at the age of 18 and I quickly worked my way up the ranks as I excelled in the sales arena. I was able to quickly identify creative ways to help my clients save money, or grow their money! I received numerous awards and recognition throughout my journey.
Then about 7 years ago I was introduced to Yoga. After divorce and heartbreak led me down a dark path of self-loathing; I walked into a Hot Yoga class and I immediately fell in love. Slowly I found my spirit calling me to practice more yoga. Even as life’s disappointments kicked me down, my mat was always there to catch me. One night I cried myself all the way to the yoga studio, but by the time class was done -I knew that everything was going to be ok. I emerged with the courage to face another day, having found the strength within myself to carry on, and finding stillness in the chaos.
My practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, both on and off the mat! It helped heal my broken heart and inspired me to live each day to its fullest, and taught me to love myself with all my flaws and imperfections.
Fast forward to 2016. I was let go from my high profile position as Vice President for a community bank. I know it sounds cliché to say ‘every dark cloud and a silver lining.’ but it does! It was from this negative situation that I decided to take my own advice and start my own company! I went on to create Karmic Currency, the Energy behind Business and Finance. With the creation of Karmic Currency, I am able to combine my knowledge of finance and spirituality and my give clients a holistic and Zen approach to dealing with finances and money. Specifically I now teach and coach my clients how to harness chakra energy to reach their goals, and manifest the life they want by uncovering chakra (energy) blocks.
I have just finished writing a self-titled book called “Karmic Currency” your chakras and money which is set to release on Kindle and Amazon in August 2018. As well as I now have my own Chakra candle line and t-shirt collection.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Lol! Do smooth roads even exist?
Transitioning from corporate America to entrepreneur is one of the hardest adjustments I’ve had to face.
Realizing that you don’t have a paycheck coming in every two weeks. Reminiscing about the times you could call the IT department when your computer is acting weird. And not being concerned about budgets when you call the marketing department because you need more flyers- has all been a huge learning curve!
But the greatest struggle has been keeping myself motivated when no else can see your dream but you!
When you are building a business concept that does not exists. It’s challenging to explain to people how you combine money and energy or finances and spirituality. (Insert deer in head lights here! lol)

Money is more than just a currency. It’s a current that flows throughout our lives.
Every time we spend or receive money there is an energetic current that goes into it.
I take clients on an energetic journey to understand their money mindsets, then uncovering the energetic blocks they hold within their chakras. This is a process that blows my mind every single time.
I teach my clients how their childhood money experiences are still driving and impacting there financial decisions till this day.
Once we identify what their personal money story is I then connect it to specific chakra energy. This further assists them in the areas where they have been making repeated financial mistakes or even missing opportunities. I also use reiki and my spiritual gifts to assist in the balancing and healing of the financial energetic blocks so they can release old patterns of behavior and create new ones.
I have also created my own brand of products to compliment the services I provide, my clients can now buy chakra candles to help them in mediations and as reminders, I also offer tee shirts, and coming up in August my book release, along with a 7 week chakra video series/ classes.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was rebellious. I always challenged things. I never took no for answer and I never settled for anyone’s version of a story. I always needed to know more, and I was relentless in uncovering truths and always looking for another way to do something. I always wanted to do things my way… I guess you can say I’m still like that. Lol!
But I was witty and funny too. I always enjoyed making people feel comfortable, and make people laugh. It’s important that we find the humor in life, I’ve never really taken myself too seriously.
