Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Kubicka.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Sandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Poland and moved to United States with to be with my family when I was 12 years old. I entered a modeling casting at one of the Miami malls where I won a contract with an agency. Few months after that, I signed a worldwide contract with a major modeling agency called “Next.” Throughout all these years in modeling industry, I got to discover other opportunities that this industry has to offer. I’ve started acting a little, doing more commercial work which opened the door for me to be a judge in Polish series of Next Top Model. At that moment, I knew I loved TV even more, so I became more involved in reality shows, hosting and other shows. Last year I had an opportunity to be on Dancing With The Stars – that was probably my favorite thing I have ever done in my career! So much fun! But you know.. I’m an Aquarius… I constantly need to try new things 😉 Lately, I’ve gotten into designing and currently have my line of dresses, which full fills my creative side.
Has it been a smooth road?
NOT AT ALL! People only see the final results and say “wow, you have a great life.” I’ve been through many bumps… public heartbreaks, scandals, mental break downs, sickness… I feel like every time I achieve something there is a “black cat” waiting for me around the corner. But I’m handling it and trying to focus on the beautiful moments more. That’s why I think I’m so open on my social media because I want everyone to know that it’s not all glam and fancy things. This industry can be cold, it’s easy to lose track of time and also forget about things that truly matter. I’ve had to learn it all.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Well, few years ago, when people asked me what do I do for living I would say “I’m a model.” Now, I like to say I’m an entrepreneur and modeling was a start. I love hosting, I had a chance to judge Miss Supranational and host Mister Supranational which was aired in 120 countries… the adrenaline on stage, and knowing that it’s all LIVE is something that drives me. I also love creating products. I started with health products and I transitioned into fashion and now in two months, I have my own perfume coming out. It’s all out of love for my fans and supporters though. I love sharing with them information and products that I use, so I thought why not create things so they are available for everyone. What sets me apart from others?? Hmm… I think it’s determination. I don’t go to sleep until I’ve done my job. When I’m on my work marathon nothing stops me… I can be on set in the middle of a photoshoot while on a conference call and doing million things at once. Haha
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love Miami for its beautiful sunsets… the beach, the water, palm trees, gorgeous skyline of downtown, food, music, morning runs on the beach, all these fitness classes.
What I don’t like about Miami… I think sometimes people here take things for granted because we don’t feel the time pass. It’s summer all year long and sometimes I get a feeling that people think they will be forever young. Its also a difficult place to date, with so many gorgeous women out there, men forget what they have at home… 😉
