Rodney, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I originally started in New York as an entertainment photographer. I have since become diverse and added Food, Portrait, NightLife, Studio, and Architecture to my arsenal.
Photography is a true passion of mine starting out I never thought id still be doing it today, from shooting celebrities in night clubs on the south beach to professional portraits, or your next big event my mission is always to capture a successful image.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never an easy road to building your own business and in the age of technology, the greatest skill is being able to adapt to everything. Keeping up with the demands of your client is always a struggle, so having a good network of resources to attend to different clients needs is important to grow Spotlightphotographyinc.
Please tell us about what you do.
I am very much known for my nightlife and event photography, where I market night clubs, bars, and restaurants in the Miami area. As a creative, I’m very proud of being able to deliver what the client wants for each project.
What role has luck had in your life and business?
I have always worked to prepare my self for each situation and if there was luck it would be the initial phase of taking photos as I never planned to be a photographer or own photography business, so in that way, I was lucky to discover photography.
Pricing:
- Photoshoot for portraits and models start at $350.00 for 3 photoshop edits, includes all photos from the session
- Event Photography $150.00 per hour with a 2hr minimum
- Video shoot or event $500.00 per location 2hr minimum
