Today we’d like to introduce you to Robyn Webb.
Robyn, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m an award-winning cookbook author, nutritionist and culinary Instructor. I’ve written 17 books, 4 prestigious cookbook awards and numerous profiles and written for major media to include Washington Post, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, Washington Business Journal, USA Today, Women’s Day Magazine, Success Magazine, Where Magazine, Cooking Light, Fine Cooking, Eating Well and much more.
I started my business in 1991 in Washington DC and have since moved the business to Miami last September. I grew up in the hospitality business and earned two degrees in nutrition.
I come from a family that many of my relatives have diabetes. So growing up, with people all around me who were diabetic made such an impact on me, enough to turn it into a wellness business!
Has it been a smooth road?
Lots of ups and downs. Since my business is mostly client driven, business can come in spurts. I’ve grown accustomed to the fluctuations, but you have to have a fluid sense of self in order to operate your own business
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Robyn Webb Associates story. Tell us more about the business.
My business as an award-winning cookbook author, nutritionist and culinary instructor is long established and quite successful. I specialize in health living and not only counsel clients on the road to better health, but actually teach the skills necessary for doing so every single day.
I’m most proud of my clients! They are the ones who make the changes and I just love seeing them so empowered!
My personal approach sets me apart! The one on one interaction is previous and special; no amount of information gleaned from the internet can come close to the personal attention I provide to my clients
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
It’s constantly changing although I think we still try to hard to find the golden answer to wellness. True and tried principles of good health have been long established and so sometimes we are our own worst enemy when we look for answers in all the wrong places!
I think more and more people will turn to experts like me when they try of quick fixes that don’t work.
