Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Robert Kidd.
Robert is the Administrator for GTG Care PPEC.
An outstanding athlete in his early years, he served as Coach for sport activities and Counsellor at several Youth Camps. It was not surprising then that he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management/Leadership from the University of North Florida (UNF) where he graduated “summa cum laude”. While at UNF too, he had the added distinction of being selected by the Student Government Scholarship Committee to receive the 2005/2006 College of Education’s award for his outstanding academic achievement – inter alia.
Graduate studies took him to the Doctorate Physical Therapy program at Florida International University (FIU) where on one of his clinical rotations he found his “calling” – Pediatric Physical Therapy. Upon completing his Doctorate in 2009, he went directly into the world of work as a Pediatric Therapist.
While still on the job, he completed an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Keiser University with a goal of opening a Pediatric Staffing company. This goal was realized in 2013 when he launched “The Kidd Choice Therapy Inc.” This company went on to staff 4 PPECs in the Miami area with therapists. His next venture was to establish his own PPEC facility, focusing on improving all-round care for children with involved diagnoses and honoring God in every aspect of its existence – whether through the medical care it provides or the culture and values that are projected. His desire is that GTG Care PPEC be known not only as a God-honoring facility, but as one that is synonymous with the best medical care in the city of Miami.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It certainly has not been a smooth road and there were many setbacks along the way.
E.g. In the early stages of opening my first business, I literally had no money to keep going because I had to take time off work to try and get things organized. Aside from that, staffing is never easy in the beginning as there are many variables to deal with. There is a learning curve.
As for the PPEC, there were many hurdles, e.g. zoning, inspections (state and city), marketing to try to get patients, obtaining contracts for services, hiring of staff etc. Each area poses new challenges.
GTG Care PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facility) – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

What I am most proud of as a company is that we are a faith based facility, and one that seeks to honor God above all else and in everything we do. I believe this also sets us apart from others in the sense that we feel we have an added responsibility to provide the best medical care possible. In addition to wanting to provide that quality of care because the children deserve it and because of the oath we take as health care providers, we believe we have a higher standard to adhere to because we want to show the love of God for people.
MISSION
To glorify God by consistently showing love and maintaining an unwaveringly high standard of medical care to the children referred to us for PPEC services.
VISION
To ensure, as far as is humanly possible, that the children in our care ENJOY rather than ENDURE their experience here.
VALUES
Faith in God, strong moral principles, high level of skill, honesty, diligence, dedication, dependability, loyalty and mutual respect.
GOAL
To work at our profession as if everything depends on us, and pray as if everything depends on God.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
It might sound “cheesy”, but on a personal level, I define success as God being pleased with my life and the things I do. It goes without saying, that I haven’t always been successful in this area, and will never be 100% successful when it comes to this, but it is my goal and something that I want to keep striving for every day.
From a business standpoint, success is having the children and families we provide care for, know that we (GTG PPEC) care on a level that is outside of just “business”. It is having them have confidence in us to provide this care knowing that we will do whatever is in our power to make sure these children have the love and care they need and deserve. It is knowing that these children, despite being sick, enjoy some aspect of coming to the PPEC.
