Today we’d like to introduce you to Raqual Rose.
Raqual Rosario introduces her own version of Innovative Hair Artistry. Artist, educator, and entrepreneur who has over 13 years of experience in the hair industry. Raqual is a New England native who is now living in South Florida. She actually started her career over ten years ago by training at a technical high school that included a cosmetology curriculum. This unique education allowed her to obtain a high school diploma and a cosmetologist license at the same time.
After getting the cosmetology license, she continued her education to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Business and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is often heard commenting that it is funny that she went on to accomplish all of this education to become a hair artist which actually only requires a cosmetology license. It is obvious that even though she is extremely intelligent and educated, it is truly her passion to help people look their best and create unique and amazing hair designs for each and every client.
From a young age, she has always been artistic, and now she is able to create hair art daily as a career. Additionally, she is able to expand her knowledge and creativity within her new business venture that involves creating a hair care product line and extension line.
Raqual wasn’t even sure she wanted to be a hair artist for the rest of her life until she was 28. She found it to be a way to make money doing something she loved when she was younger, but she often felt that she wasn’t always able to use her creativity as much in those days. Since she was from New England, the styles tended to be much more conservative than South Florida, and the ideas for styling that she had in her mind for her clients weren’t always in alignment with her customers’ requests.
She was always professional and did her job well, but when she moved down to South Florida, she was able to get more creative and passionate about this as a career. South Florida has a calling for more trendy hairstyles where people explore many colorful designs and various lengths of hair extensions. She is much more hands-on and passionate about creating a hair brand of artistic creations.
Raqual’s brand is prided on creating trust with her guests. She wants them to feel like they can respect and trust her, and her goal is to ensure that they feel that they are in good hands when they sit in her chair. She is a true perfectionist by every definition of the word. From start to finish, she will talk everything over with her guests and will listen and share ideas back and forth until the person is comfortable with the consultation. Then, Raqual will take whatever time is necessary to create exactly what the guest wants. She is always immersing herself in her clients’ needs and wants, and she is often seen taking that extra step to give just a little bit more.
She enjoys doing color, haircuts, and extensions that utilize her own line of imported Slavic Hair. This Slavic hair has never been processed or colored and is considered to be the most luxurious hair available. It boasts of being the highest quality hair extensions in the world. Due to the incredible demand for both her line of hair and her masterful ability to color match and create length and fullness, she has added a line of wefts and tape-ins which are now available.
Another important project in the works for Raqual involves creating her own professional hair care product line. This innovative product line will consist of shampoos, conditioners, and hair styling products to help you care for your hair and keep it shiny and beautiful. She is even experimenting with using CBD to add to the products to help grow hair and make it thicker. Be on the lookout for this hair care line coming soon!
Hair artists can get tired of working long hours trying to meet high expectations. What keeps Raqual going after 12 years in the industry is being able to think outside the box and using her knowledge and wisdom to design the best look for her clients. She is often seen creating and utilizing a toolbox of techniques that allows her guests to get the look they want. One thing that is super important to Raqual is to be able to have the freedom to create something special for you to make you look your absolute best!
Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth road, hahaha. No. I’ve always struggled with self-doubt and insecurities. When I first started doing hair, I joke around now and say I was a people pleaser, a yes woman. If a guest wanted a specific color or cut, which either wasn’t achievable or a good choice. I’d say Yes because I was afraid to disappoint them. In turn, I ended up disappointing my guest, appearing as if I didn’t know what I was doing and doubting my own talent.
Now I approach it much differently. I’m a lot more confident with myself and my work. Looking back, I think my work shows for itself. I also think when you sit in my chair and we go over your desired look through consultation, you can see I approach the service a bit differently I ask a lot of annoying questions over and over again to make sure I understand what you are looking for. I always say we all see reds differently, while I may think red is a bright red, you may think red is a deep burgundy, and this is why I ask so many questions. At the end of the day, there’s always room to better yourself and your technique.

I dabble in all things beauty. Specifically hair. I’d like to say I’m known for my color corrections, blondes, and my Slavic hair extensions. I’m so passionate about my brand that I’ve created my own line of extensions that I import directly from Russia. I also own a hair care line that just started and I’ve infused the products with CBD. CBD is high in antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E. These antioxidants can help make the hair look and feel thicker and fuller, it even helps prevent breakage. All of the things we need for healthy, happy hair.
I have a true passion for hair. I don’t work in an office or for some American corporate job, although I could with my MBA but I choose to do hair. I feel like it’s what I was born to do. I love what I do and I love being able to create. No better feeling in the world than making someone else feel better about themselves.
