Absolutely! I go by the name of Princess, and I am the proud founder of Princess Budgets LLC. My journey began at 20 years old with big dreams of attending a university and creating a better future for myself. Like many, I was working a traditional 9-to-5 job to save up for school with hopes of achieving financial independence. But, like countless others, I faced a significant setback when the pandemic hit. I was let go from my job, and in that moment, my dreams felt uncertain.
Losing my job was heartbreaking. Despite my best efforts, I hadn’t saved enough to cover essential future expenses like rent, utilities, and tuition. I felt an immense weight on my shoulders, knowing that my path to higher education seemed further out of reach. Still, even in that challenging moment, I held onto a dream I’ve always had to start a business of my own. I always had a creative spirit and a drive to make a difference, but I wasn’t sure where to begin.
As I searched for ways to improve my financial situation, I stumbled upon Dave Ramsey’s cash envelope budgeting method. Who would have thought that organizing money into simple envelopes could have such a powerful impact on saving and managing finances? This concept brought structure and peace to my life. As I began to see the benefits, I was inspired to share it with others. This was how Princess Budgets LLC was born.
Now, at 24 years old, I am preparing to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Reflecting on this journey, I am incredibly grateful for the obstacles that led me here. Princess Budgets LLC has become more than a business. It is a community dedicated to empowering others to take control of their finances with intention and grace. What began as a personal struggle has transformed into a fulfilling mission. I look forward to seeing Princess Budgets LLC continue to grow and help others blossom on their financial journeys.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was certainly not a smooth road. The journey to building Princess Budgets LLC came with many challenges, and I often faced struggles that could have easily led me to give up. One of the greatest obstacles was learning to balance everything that life demanded of me. In the beginning, I was juggling intense science courses with the pressure of getting orders out on time. It often felt as if there simply weren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done.
There were moments when the weight of both school and business felt overwhelming. I remember late nights and early mornings, trying to fit studying, fulfilling orders, and managing the demands of a growing business into an already packed schedule. Balancing academics with entrepreneurship was not easy, especially when exams and deadlines started piling up, and orders kept pouring in.
I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received from my parents and partner, especially around the holidays when orders would really pile up. During those high-demand periods, they stepped in without hesitation, helping with everything from packaging orders to managing logistics. Their support allowed me to stay on track, even when things felt overwhelming, and they have been an essential part of the journey.
Looking back on these challenges, I can honestly say that every struggle has played a huge role in my growth, both personally and professionally. It’s been incredibly rewarding to not only overcome obstacles but to learn about things like resilience, time management, and the importance of having a solid support system. Building Princess Budgets LLC has taught me that the road isn’t always smooth, but those tough moments are what shape you and make every success feel that much more meaningful.

One of the key items we provide are customizable cash envelopes. Cash envelopes are used to allocate funds for everyday expenses such as rent, utilities, family fun, gas, dining out, and groceries. For those with long-term savings goals, we offer customizable cash envelopes for sinking fund categories. Sinking funds are specific savings set aside for anticipated, non-recurring expenses that don’t happen every month but can be planned for in advance. Like many people, I used to rely on my card for most transactions, finding it quick and convenient. I believe financial planning should be something that’s accessible and relatable, especially for young adults and students who might be new to budgeting or feeling overwhelmed by it. That’s why I’ve designed our products with simplicity in mind. What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I envision Princess Budgets LLC growing into a well-established brand with a physical location where clients can experience our products and services firsthand. This space would not only serve as a hub for our business but also as a community gathering place, where individuals can learn, connect, and be inspired on their financial journeys.
Additionally, I hope to build a dedicated and hardworking team that shares a vision of making a positive impact through our brand. By working together, we can continue to provide exceptional service and create meaningful connections with our customers. With a shared passion for making a difference, we will strive to further elevate Princess Budgets LLC.
Another goal I have is to offer one-on-one consultations. I want to provide personalized guidance to individuals, especially when it comes to tackling debt and working towards their financial goals.
