Meet Pedro Mora

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pedro Mora.

Hi Pedro, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got to this city in 2014, I had no knowledge about cars but a need to grow and thrive. I started just taking pictures of vehicles and posting them online, shortly I discovered I’m a people person, I was able to connect with customers pretty quickly, so I climbed the ladder to greeter and salesman pretty fast. Thanks to different situations and obstacles I learned about financing and business-to-business relationships. Financing is a sweet spot for me, but again, thanks to conditions I started communicating directly with banks, shops, businesses, providers, and such that are a vital part of the day-to-day running of a dealership.

I now consider myself a person with some skills that allow me to resolve problems easily, even when I have no idea how to resolve it, I can find a path quickly and overcome it. People will help you along the way if you understand the nature of the situation and how to approach them

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, remember, I had no knowledge of cars, and I was supposed to sell cars. I studied the specs of vehicles all day, learned the basics, and how to sell and talk to customers simultaneously. As I grew, the obstacles did too. There was a point I even thought to myself “how did I end up in this meeting if I’m just an employee from a small dealership?” I guess it’s very hard for me to say no because of my hunger for knowledge and desire to help. The struggles have definitely lower but every once in a while, you should find an obstacle, that means there is more room to grow.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a manager in a used car dealership. I run A to Z, if necessary, my specialties are Financing and B2B Relationships.

“What are you most proud of?” That is really hard to answer because more than achievements, I would say it’s that my history in the Car Business has created an attitude of facing whatever I encounter and established my skill of creating connections with people pretty fast.

I will NOT push you to buy the car, I will listen to your story, understand your situation, and together we’ll find YOUR best option. Thanks to that I have made a lot of friends that continue a good relationship, they are not customers but we’re friends now.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see myself still helping people and businesses. In my industry, the big shifts and trends happen outside of my control but believe me when I tell you: I’ll adapt. I’ll be there.
