Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathalie Halimi-Tessier.
Michel Tessier was born and grew up in Paris as his inspiration to be a photographer. He is self-taught and began, at the age of 14, taking photos of his friends. He got his first photography job as the camera assistant to Claude Lelouch at the Department of Cinema and Photography for the French Army. Michel also worked for Gamma Press Agency as a photographer, traveling to take photos from the battlefield to everyday events.
In Paris, working at the Fillipachi Studio, he was an assistant to famous fashion photographers, completing his knowledge of fashion and beauty photography. Testing models were sent by modeling agencies, which is how he built his portfolio and very quickly the doors were open. Michel Tessier made his mark with his name on the pages of the prestigious magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, Marie-Claire, l’Officiel and also for famous advertising campaigns, beauty, fashion, and intimate catalogs. Now, in Miami, Michel continues to organize and make photos for American brands. Michel also taught the history of fashion photography in Paris fashion’s schools.
Nathalie Halimi-Tessier studied at the well-known Paris Fashion School Esmod. She works as head of the design team, buying and marketing for international fashion companies, Nathalie has extensive experience in retail and buying. She is also teaching the fashion business in Miami from 2009 to 2016 she was a consultant for fashion companies in Shanghai. Simultaneously, for the last 15 years, she has taught Fashion Business in different international fashion schools in Paris. She is also a consultant for Fashion Company’s CEO and Mentors for fashion start-ups. They both are living in Miami Beach.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Launching a new concept and a business, it’s never a smooth road; it’s always a challenge coming from Paris to Miami, it’s already a big challenge.

We organize a fashion workshop photography. Michel Tessier shares his experience. Nathalie and Michel are both passionate about Photography, Art, and Fashion. The Tessier’s want to transmit and share their passion for the fashion and photos to you in their next workshop! Our workshops are for everyone who loves fashion photography and wants to have the experience of a professional photo shoot with a model agency, local fashion designer, makeup artist and more for a full production!
Photography is everywhere! With the introduction of the Smart Phone, everyday photographers or future professionals are emerging faster than ever, but they often don’t really understand the true “soul” of fashion photography so…That’s the core mission of the ATELIER TESSIER workshop. We believe in the power and efficiency of short courses as well as the concept “Learning by doing” (but with direction and culture). In our intensive four day workshops, you’ll learn about the culture and history of fashion photography, shooting prep and casting, understanding the impact of fashion photography on the fashion industry, as well as how photography influences fashion designer’s creativity.

Atelier Tessier is also a production company, we organize photo shooting for a brand. We also launch a new concept of luxury photo boudoir.

Success is the achievement of a long road. Be recognized for our work.
When after a workshop one participant come to see us and send an email saying that we really enjoyed and learn a lot during the session, that’s a big part of the success for us.
