Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadeem Awad.
Nadeem, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a passion for performing. I began doing music early on. I stepped away from music and was looking for another creative outlet. I’ve always had an interest in comedy and always enjoyed watching it, but the thought of going on stage was terrifying. After going through the loss of my Father and best friend, who were the most naturally funny and influential people in my life, I promised myself I would give it a shot. So I began doing open mics locally and started producing my own shows not long after. The feeling of writing a joke or telling a story that people can relate to and laugh at is indescribable when you’re on stage. Comedy has helped me through tough times and allowed to find my creative side again. I travel around doing shows as a feature. I have opened for some big names and qualified for competitions. Comedy is something I’ll be doing for the rest of my life. I’ll see you in your city soon!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like anything, it’s never gonna be easy in the beginning. I use to get really nervous and forget where I was going in the joke or forget a tag or punchline. And sometimes I had hecklers, which in the beginning I had no idea what to with lol. Eventually, after going up so many times, you learn how to deal with the unexpected.

Things I like in Miami, culture, food, beautiful women and nightlife.
Things I don’t like would have to be the parking, traffic, and bad drivers.
