Hi Monique, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The vision for Higher Elevation Coach began during a powerful moment of obedience to God. After conducting a spiritual retreat on the island of St. Thomas, I boarded the plane to return home and began reflecting on the impact the retreat had on the women who attended. During that flight, I felt a clear prompting from God to start a platform that would help women heal, grow, and walk boldly in their purpose.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I have spent years working with individuals navigating trauma, emotional pain, and life transitions. I began to see how many women needed a space where faith and healing could come together. In that moment of clarity, Higher Elevation Coach was born.
Today, Higher Elevation Coach serves as a platform dedicated to empowering women through trauma-informed coaching, faith-based guidance, and personal development. Through coaching, workshops, speaking engagements, and community outreach, I help women confront past wounds, build emotional resilience, and strengthen their relationship with God.
In addition to my coaching work, I am the Founder of Praying Women Get Results, a faith-based community that encourages women to pursue spiritual growth, leadership, and purpose. I am also currently a Doctoral Candidate at Regent University, continuing my research on leadership, resilience, and healing.
My mission is simple: to help women elevate mentally, emotionally, and spiritually so they can live the life God has called them to.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Higher Elevation Coach came with obstacles. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced financial limitations, moments of uncertainty, and the challenge of balancing multiple roles—clinician, leader, founder, and doctoral candidate. There were also seasons of self-doubt and spiritual stretching where faith had to guide me through unfamiliar territory.
Despite these challenges, I remained committed to the vision. Today, Higher Elevation Coach empowers women through trauma-informed coaching and faith-based guidance, helping them heal from past wounds and elevate mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Higher Elevation Coach is a faith-centered coaching platform dedicated to helping women heal emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I specialize in trauma-informed coaching that integrates mental health principles with biblical guidance. My work focuses on helping women overcome trauma, anxiety, and life transitions while rediscovering their purpose.
What sets my work apart is the ability to bridge the gap between faith and mental health, creating a safe space for true healing. Through coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements, I empower women to build resilience, deepen their faith, and elevate into the life God has called them to live.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
No journey is accomplished alone, and I am incredibly grateful for the people who have supported and believed in the vision of Higher Elevation Coach. My parents, Lisa and Gilmore Beckford, have been my biggest cheerleaders, always encouraging me to pursue my calling and remain grounded in faith and perseverance. I am also deeply grateful for Vanessa Augustin, who has been a strong supporter through Praying Women Get Results, helping to uplift and strengthen the community.
I would also like to acknowledge Ojo David of Divine Tech Solutions, whose technical support has helped bring many of my projects and ideas to life, along with being my social media manager who helps amplify the message and reach more women. The ladies of Praying Women Get Results who support through showing up at events I speak at and faithfully pray for me and my business.
Lastly, my dear friends Vanessa, Therese, Nikkita, Jessica, and Jocelyn have been constant sources of encouragement, prayer, and support throughout this journey.
