Today, we’d like to introduce you to Monica Garcia.

Monica Garcia

Hi Monica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi there! Thank you so much for having me. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to share a bit about myself and my passion for event planning. It’s an honor to be featured in your magazine and I’m truly excited to share my story with your readers.

Having delved into the wedding industry since 2019, I’ve worn many hats – from wedding coordinator and planner to florist and venue manager. In May of last year, I embarked on an exciting new journey by launching my own event-planning business.

The driving force behind starting my business was my desire to create memorable events beyond weddings. I didn’t want to limit myself; I love thinking outside the box and infusing events with bold colors and unique touches.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Transitioning into entrepreneurship hasn’t been without its challenges. Despite lacking formal business education, I have navigated the hurdles by immersing myself in courses that have proven invaluable. Each obstacle has become an opportunity for growth, making this journey one of continual learning and evolution.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an event planner specializing in creating unforgettable experiences for my clients, from weddings to corporate events and beyond. My expertise lies in crafting unique and vibrant events known for their bold colors, innovative designs, and creative concepts that leave a lasting impression.

I take pride in translating clients’ visions into seamless realities, whether through intricate floral arrangements, eye-catching decor, or personalized touches, exceeding expectations every time. What sets me apart is my passion for creativity and attention to detail; clients can trust me to take control and bring their vision to life with precision and flair, creating wow-worthy moments that they cherish.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I have found mentorship and networking to be invaluable in my journey. One effective strategy has been actively participating in networking events relevant to my industry, where I not only connect with fellow professionals but also learn from their experiences and insights.

Additionally, planning local networking events for vendors in our area has allowed me to establish meaningful connections and showcase my skills within the community. Taking a business master class was another pivotal step for me, as it not only provided valuable knowledge but also connected me with an amazing coach who has become both a mentor and friend.
