Hi Mirko & Sandra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We are a small boutique apartment property located in Pomona Beach, in a quiet and safe area close to the beach.
At the end of 2024, we came from Germany and purchased the property with the vision of creating a special place for travelers looking for relaxation, comfort, and a true vacation atmosphere.
Since then, we have been transforming the property step by step into what it is today – with great attention to detail, continuous improvements, and a strong focus on quality and guest experience. What started as a simple accommodation has grown into a place where guests can feel at home while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
Our journey is still ongoing. We are constantly working on enhancing the property and our services to offer our guests the best possible holiday experience – a place to unwind, feel welcome, and truly enjoy their time at Pomona Beach.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
t has not always been a smooth road. When we took over the property, it had been operated only minimally and had very few regular guests, so we essentially had to rebuild everything from the ground up.
One of the biggest challenges was navigating all the required permits, licenses, and legal requirements. Coming from Germany, everything was new and very different for us – from regulations to daily operations and business culture. Learning and adapting took time, patience, and persistence.
At the same time, we were starting this new chapter as a young family. With a (now) two-year-old son, balancing the demands of running and rebuilding a property while raising a child has been both challenging and exhausting at times.
Despite these challenges, we stayed focused on our vision and worked step by step to improve the property and grow the business. Every obstacle has helped shape what the place is today and strengthened our commitment to creating the best possible experience for our guests.
